Yes its a lot of honours,but when you were the ONLY full time club playing against part timers it does somewhat take the sheen off things,you almost went under due to paying to much for players and you lost your ground and now have to share with the football so in reflection was it all worth it ?

Oh well done. I wish we were playing part timers every week. If you take out the Wigan full time pro team (even before it was official for the entire squad they were operating with the vast majority as Full timers) against part timers your little trophy list is still impressive but no longer exceptional

Leeds where full time before Wigan. Saints were breaking world records in transfer fees even though they were 'part time'

Wigan were not the ONLY full time club. Wigan gave their players full time contracts to try and keep up with Leeds as they were full time before Wigan. Pity other clubs were more interested in spending world record transfer fees instead giving out more full time contracts.

You need lessons in trolling my pie munching friend. I suspect you may have fallen into some kind of Wigan Bathtub time machine (lets face it there arnt many hot tubs in Wigan) and arrived in 1989

Leeds would have been the only full time team and took out the leagues and challenge cups. If you take out Leeds full time team aswell, then Wigan would have won trophies anyway as we were the dominant force winning 3 league titles and 4 challenge cups in the 7 years prior to becoming full time.

What other clubs where spending world record transfer fees ? Wigan set the record signing Offiah in 1992 for £440,000 then broke it in 2006 signing Fielden for £450,000 so exactly what other clubs were breaking record fees ? We spent big on Newlove and Scully in the 90s but didnt set records and in context of those fees it brought about a peroid of massive success.

How can anyone be envious of historical records? Envy is about wanting what some else has. You cant want some one else's history. Only a fool would think that way. It would be pointless and Saints fans are never pointless. Now wigan could be envious of our future as the could want our players and get them but they could not be envious of our great SL history just like we could not be envious of there pre SL history.

You're 'home' as you put it was reduced to rubble many years ago. The new wembley stadium is more Saints home than yours. Good grief you've only been once.
