I think this is probably the best outcome for Saints, although i would have liked him to sign a 1 year deal, with a view to signing another season if hes playing well enough. Also, its probably the best move for Longy, as it guarantees him 2 years no matter how poor hes playing and he has to think about his future, and obviously 2 years worth of money is better than 1.
Maybe a little selfish off me, but i hope he is a flop at Hull, otherwise it could come back to bite us on the ar$e in the end. I wish him well at Hull, but hope it doesn't come back to haunt us.

He is. He turns 33 in september, so will end his 2 yrs at the tender age of 35. A good deal for longy, and possibly for Hull, if he is like Langer who was still ripping it up in SOO at 36. Big if though. |

I think it would be good for him to have a cool swansong! Let him fly into retirement with endless last minute drop goals and weaving around the pitch and growing silly hairstyles. I hope he goes well for Hull. If he comes back to haunt us well so be it. We'll deal with it I'm sure. |

Fresh club should get him through the first year, big if if he can do another after that.
Already got tickle and fitzgibbon for kicking goals which should take some pressure off.
Travelling will be a killer though.

That really depends tbh - If he plays really well and does a good job for his new club I'd rather it be Hull than Wigan, however if his knee's packup and he spends half the season injured , the other playing crap whilst taking up a significant chunk of salary cap then I'd rather that be at Wigan so we could all laugh .. |

never thought much of the guy but what ive heard recently has changed my mind.
Apparantly martin gleeson was at his house on sunday to try and get him to wigan, they had offered more money than Hull, and even though all he had given was a verbal confirmation (at the time) to Hull, he stuck with us, so fair play to him
