I got told today that saints are on verge of signing a Aussie fullback.

Find it hard to beleive but he has told me few things in past that have been spot on.

Can't see it myself as we got wello. Maybe in 2 years but saints wouldn't be looking to replace wello yet would they?

IMO we have seen the best of Wellens.He has been fantastic FB over the years though.

Would like to see Pryce at FB, he would not get the chance to go missing during the game and would give us a good attacking option.

Which meant he was being very nice indeed when he offered to play on the wing against the Quins to give Eastmond a go in the halves. He didn't look comfortable on the wing though, it has to be said.

i doubt it and i'd be disappointed on the lack of faith in our kids. That said at saints with pryce and wilkin helping the creativety i think he could be more successful at saints than his plays are at wakey, and he can kick (so surely cant be coming to saints)

Re Pryce playing fullback. The Bulls and indeed GB have tried this in the past, and quite frankly Leon was appalling at it.
He has even played the odd game at Saints at fullback and been very poor.
His size is actually a hindrance as he struggles to deal with kicks along the ground, and he isnt the best leaper of a ball.

I have a sneaky feeling Saints may play Pryce on the wing against Hull, and play Eastmond in the halves with Long to give him game time.

I doubt that we will be signing an Aussie Fullback either. It would pretty much see the end of Wellens and I think most people would make sure Potter & McManus were hanging outside the town hall before that ever happened.

There are some good full backs on the market. Hunt at the Broncos is the best example. But guys like Stewart at Manly and Bowen at the Cowboys would probably be available. But again i doubt we are planning to sign any.

Wellens best is obviously behind him as soon in the world cup. Be surprised if u throw in a youth player to lead you around the field next season though.

it's obviously going to be wheeler or eastmond who will play scrum half, the future for england is certainly bright with youngsters like these 2 coming through.

I don't recall pryce playing fullback for GB or the bulls.

Last time I saw him at fullback for saints he played really well. It gives him chance to drift in and out of games and that's when he at his best.

He also would get us on front foot from kicks which IMO we badly lack at the moment.

The likes of Webb, slater and hunt get there teams on front foot when they return kicks which gives teams chance to get a roll on.

Pryce is awful under the bomb. Why waste our main dangerman in a position he doesn't like playing and one in which he fails to excel in?

Exactly! Wello should stay at FB for at very least the next season and then potentially move to loose? if he slows to much or young kids nock him off his position. Pryce should stay at 6, he is most effective there and he isn't exactly knocking on yet
