Well done lads'"
a bit of both, saints were their clinical best until the injury to westerman which took the sting out of the game.to there credit cas played some decent rugby in the second half and saints scored a few cheap ones in the last few minutes.
i expected this scoreline when i saw the cas team,as well has we have been this year our squad isnt good enough or big enough to be missing players like widders, evans, feather, ferres, hudson and jones.

| Nice for us that we didnt get into a tussle, we haev seen some freak oen sided games this weekend , shoin that the easter break has messed up a few RL chaps and really took it out of them...cass seemed shot to pieces, but their team was missing a fair few regulars. Cass have been gash at home to, tink only one 1, and think only lost 1 on the road, mad statistic that. Thankfully for us it was a nice easy first 40, and not an arm wrestle in the lovely sun/heat... 2nd half cass had nothing to lose and played soem good moves, plenty of width, god strong running ( Seargant Mitchel ) and I would say a " do it for joe" attitude..... I never thought we would be hitting a 60 score today... but boy I am pleased we did.
4 Tries conceeded in both of our last 2 games now though, shocking defence.

| Saints were very, very good and we couldn't handle you!
Cas were very poor, although I do wish we could get away with lying on in the tackle like you do, as we needed to slow your play the ball down, your guys must practice laying on to the limit, as you've got it down to a fine art!
I thought the ref, Smith, was very poor on Sunday, but couldn't blame him or your holding down, for the rank bad tackling that cost us any chance of competing.
We did have several influential players missing (out of what is a very small squad), but Saints can only play what's put in front of them and got to give you credit for being very clinical with your finishing.

It's easy, just watch how Leeds do it, do the same, but for not quite as long, and you'll get away with it.

| Once Saints were on a roll we couldn't stop them. They love to put big scores on us for some reason. Maybe we give them far too much respect ?

| Quote ="SaintsFan"Gotta fess, I didn't expect us to do that to Cas today. I can only think they are still recovering from their derby game or injuries have got to them or they are having an off day because although we are good, Cas this season are much better than the scoreline suggests.
Mind you, although I don't actually like tonkings (prefer a competitive match), I'm not complaining really, just a tad surprised.'"
We have had some great performances this season, unfortunately we have a very small squad and to keep putting good performances in we need our first choice 17 fit. So the first time we have had some injuries (Evans, Ferres, Feather, Hudson, Widders, Jones) we struggled. Plus in my opinion your easily the best side in the league.

Nah. I just think it must be as some suggest. You were missing a fair few of your big guns and you've yet to be in a position to develop your squad (maybe for next season?). Cas have been playing some great rugby this season (you did last season but your defence has caught up this season). No way on current form did you deserve that score against you. I'm not sure how we would cope with five major players out even with our youngsters performing well (as thankfully they are doing). It's a shame Cas couldn't have played a fully fit squad as you play really attractive RL.

| It was pretty simple really, we didn't have the ball in the first half. We gave away a few silly penalties and made a few mistakes and kept gifting Saints field position. There is only one thing going to happen when you do that against Saints. You got on a roll, scored some great tries and we couldn't stop it. I don't think we had the ball in you 30 for half an hour.
Shame really cos we showed when we have the ball in a decent position we can score past the best. I didn't expect a win but i was still pretty dissapointed with the final score, but nevermind.
We will hopefully put it behind us and beat Celtic next week.
Good luck for the rest of the season. We might be able to make a better game of it at your place as our away form is a damn site better than our home form this season.
