What happens with season ticket holders when we split into the 8s?

It's probably been discussed on here but not seen anything.

Season tickets will cover the 4 (likely) home games in the super 8's.

Doh! I do get it now. All the clubs play each other in the top 8, so better to play them at home.

I think 4th looks slightly easier than 3rd.

That probably explains why Wigan are purposely losing games so they can aim for fourth

How does the bottom four work? How do they decide who stays up and who goes down ?

Top 3 in the middle 8 go into the following year's SL automatically. 4th and 5th play off for the last SL spot in 'the million pound game'.

I think all of that is right except that they only play each other once. I think the SL clubs get the extra home fixture.

Actually, the extra home fixtures don't all go to the SL sides. The ranking goes like this:

1: SL 9th
2: SL 10th
3: CH 1st
4: CH 2nd
5: SL 11th
6: SL 12th
7: CH 3rd
8: CH 4th

Clubs ranked 1-4 get 4 home games, those ranked 5-8 only get 3.

I hope they stick with this format because I'm sick of trying to get my head around how they all work.

It's only 4th v 5th that play off. The top 3 and bottom 3 in the middle 8 go their separate ways automatically.

I get it then. So let's say leigh v wakey in the play off. The winner stays up and loser goes down ?

How many games do they play when in the middle 8 ?

Yes. It's just a straight 80 minute shoot out to see who goes into Super League and who goes into Championship for 2016.

So bottom 4 in SL and top 4 in Championship join together to form middle 8. All points return to 0.

Everyone plays each other once. After 7 matches, the top 3 win a place in SL for 2016 and the bottom 3 are in the Championship.

4th v 5th play each other to decide the final spot in both leagues.

So how's the top work ?

Points are carried over from the regular season and all teams play each other once. Top 4 get 4 home games and 5-8 get 3 home games (7 games in total).

At the end of the extra 7 games 1st plays 4th and 2nd play 3rd for a place in the grand final.
