SAINTS have announced their 19-man squad for Friday's First Utility Super League Round Seven clash at Hull Kingston Rovers.

Mark Flanagan comes in for Joe Greenwood who misses out with an elbow injury.

Why was Jonesy missing last week!

Probably dropped because of his contract situation. I can understand a coach not wanting to select a player who isn't sure whether he wants to remain at the club.

Hopefully something will be sorted soon because I don't particularly want him to go.

Dawson for Jones and I think you'll be bang on.

I think if Kieron has picked Flash in the 19 he'll play him, probably for Savelio

And it would be a mistake IMO, hkr are missing a lot of big men (Bailey Weyman Cox Burke Allgood) and have done well in drawing teams into high scoring games of hot potato - we should keep it simple and go big, and Sav achieves that and flash doesn't

Id have Lance start again and let our big forwards tire KR out before bringing Roby on to run riot against a tired KR team

Who said he doesn't want to stay at the club ?

Our creativity and pace is better but I'm expecting your forwards to trample all over us and tire us out therefore limiting what we can do. It'll then allow gaps for your creative players. Just like 4 out of the 6 games we've had this season. Our lack of high impact forwards is a concern right now.

We need to be fairly mobile though as they have some pacey players in their ranks. Not sure Sav is particularly mobile.

I hope we have been practising our marker defence this week!

Cant agree with that. He is currently under contract , being paid and a better player than Dawson. If KC did drop him for that reason he has/is making a serious error imo. Given Walsh hasnt taken up is option of a 3rd year yet should the same rule be applied to him?

Why we're at it we should drop Wellens & Mosoe too

or indeed Masoe.

Squad amendment - Jack Ashworth comes in for Paul Wellens.

It'll be interesting to see what we do now. Probably Makinson at 1, Dawson wing and Jones centre. However it would be good to see another young lad given a chance if Ashworth plays.

Why has Wello dropped out?
