That's what the Salford fans have been saying for the last X no of weeks.

I hope he does well but I expect him to drift off into the lower leagues.

I feel this to be a statement of where the Bulls find themselves, Gaskell and Foster are reasonable players who are at the right age and salary bracket. Personally I am thrilled he has left the club as I felt the two lads named would never have been a part of a trophy winning side and are more or less championship one class who became legends in their own lunchtimes, in Fosters case I blame Saints for that.

Nobody was saying that when they helped get us to a Grand Final; a Grand Final we might have even won but for three injuries in quick succession. In fact, we WERE winning, until those three injuries kicked in ...

Obviously we are now a trophy winning side ...

I wish him good luck too but I don't see why he'll go any better there than at Saints or Salford.

He's certainly not a bad player but I don't think he has the raw natural ability nor attitude to make it at Super League level. I'd certainly be happy to eat my words though, good luck to him.

For Salford he has been MOM in 5 out of 14 games he played in and the top try scorer in that period?

The difference being is that Matty Smith is a fantastic trainer who really gets his head down and works hard on all parts of his game, even the gritty bits that nobody wants to do.

Matty Smith always had the ability, we just didn't need him at the time, I'm not surprised he's turned out the way he has.

The only thing about Foster we miss is his goal kicking and Gaskell hasnt shown any form in the halves for 2 years

If smith has signed, how many overseas they got on their books for next year ?

Off the top of my head I can think of TP, Tim Smith, Rapira (sp), Sau that have been confirmed.

Chase won't count as he gets residency this year.

Doesn't make a difference to the Non-Fed Trained list, Chase will always count on that.

Quota list is now irrelevant due to the Non-Fed Trained list.

We went to five finals on the bounce or six I have forgot now and lost the lot. Gaskell and Foster are third rate players best forgotten. Lets look for the next Scully Martyn and Joynt and forget players who are picked up by teams who cannot fund the payroll.
