| I'd take Dicko instead of Flannery. His running off the bench could really make a difference.
Flanders is a workhorse who they choose to play for minimal minutes - it doesn't make sense to me.

No, safe and solid all the way. Unfortunatley, it looks like this strategy is meaning the end of Dixon's Saints career.

| Gaskell on bench, with Robes moving to loose & Hohaia to nine was very succesful recently, added more creativity.
Possibility could be considered again.

If it was me that's what I would do after about 20 minutes of the game with Hohaia coming off the bench.

| Hohaia has done nothing to justify selection ahead of Gaskell but I'm sure he will be in the starting 13. I hope we retain Gaskell in the 17

I would suggest that it is Gaskell who has done nothing to justify selection ahead of Hohaia. Please remember that Lance was the starting stand-off up to the Widnes game. Gaskell did not come in and give a stand out performance, therefore Hohaia gets the shirt back. This is all assuming that the player in possession of the starting slot keeps it until another player replaces him and performs better. I think you must agree.

What has Gaskell done to justify selection over Hohaia?

| So do I. I can't be bothered with a petty argument though so I wont carry on with that. At this moment I don't think either is outplaying the other but I think Hohaia's experience will get him the nod ahead of Gaskell.

Gaskell has only played two full matches since Royce left so it would have been hard for him to 'outplay' anyone. But I do agree, Hohaia will 'get the nod' ahead of Gaskell but that's because under the current regime the senior players always do get the nod ahead of the young blokes.

| I like Gaskell, however I think Lance and Lomax where starting to get something going prior to Lomax getting injured. it's going to be difficult for Gaskell to break into that team unless he pulls out some very good performances. Just matching Lances efforts will not be enough to get noticed and replace someone.

It's a good question, for me Gaskell has proven to be a very good halfback (last season especially) and I think most people agree he has quite a bit of unrealised potential in him . Lance for me is robbing a living at standoff , he is not and never will be a halfback, his distribution (as Pete has noted on several occasions) and for me speed of though is just too slow. He hinders are play rather than helps and given his age we either need to play him in position (fullback) or use him as utility/backup
Sometimes you need to play your way into form , giving Gaskell a run with Lomax might just help him do that

No idea. He hasn't been seen or heard of in ages. The club don't do communication these days.
Quote also how has shenton been performing after the anouncement he was leaving?'"
Mixed bag. Sometimes very well, sometimes average.
Quote has Perry shown his worth yet?'"
Some people think so. I don't. He's made a couple of good runs and a couple of good hits but invariably he drops the ball or gives away a penalty, and he doesn't keep up the good runs and good hits. Waste of money for me.

| Quote ="saintcj"Whats the news on Wheeler, is he injured again?'" injured, but then couldn't regain his place - Jones has been impressing in the centre.
Quote also how has shenton been performing after the anouncement he was leaving?'" Very well, to be honest. He's been chiming in with one or two great centre plays a game.
Quote has Perry shown his worth yet?'" Perry's been excellent since the regeime changed, except for the Wigan game, but that also goes for Shenton and more than a few others. He sucks the tacklers in going forward, but his real strength is his physicality in defence, controlling the opposition forwards in contact and at the PTB.
