Probably Eastmond to centre and Gaskell to the bench.

Clough to the bench? Magennis to the backrow?

If Clough misses out, then Dixon / Ashurst on the bench.

i think gaskell will start at stand off this week save pryce he will come on for last thirty to replace eastmond with lomax or gaskell going in the centre think its a battle between eastmond and gaskell this weekend for the bench stop for semi

for the semi yes they do lomax wellens pryce are all very injury prone so one of them is a must on the bench would hate to have to stick wilkin in the halfs in semi final football lack of halfs back lost us the semi last year

Pryce isn't yet capable of playing the full 80 I shouldn't think and so someone will need to be on the bench who can cover in the halves.

We need a back on the bench. It is so incredibly obvious that I'm amazed people keep questioning it, even now, after all our injuries of this season!

Is there a game this weekend?



Both sides should just play their u20s teams. I think you will want to beat Wigan in the cup as much as we want to beat Leeds.

Given the news today about Scott Moore, I wonder if he will be playing this weekend?

If there's no prospect of him playing against Wigan next week, I wouldn't play him this weekend.

Give someone else the game time, Cas are going to roll over and get their bellies tickled anyway by the sounds of it. I doubt we'll see the likes of Rangi Chase in a Cas shirt at the weekend.

Hard to say, really. He has court the day before. I suppose it depends on whether the club discipline him.


I just wish we had someone else who could bring his aggression in defence and push in attack.

If he is unavailable for Wigan then IMHO, he should be first on the team sheet this week. It's a shorter turn around for us than Wigan and there is a difference between resting players and rotating players.

Resting would be replacing Wilkin or flannery with some unknown from the under 21's.

Rotation is about making the best utilisation of what you have, no one can say playing Moore is disrespectful to the game or opposition or our fans. He is a good quality player.

He has been charged with a number of offences.

He's on bail until 5th august

Have to agree, it may be his last in the redvee for a while at least so may as well make the best of it.

talking of bail martin aspinwall could play at the weekend having been released early from prison although he still has a tag on which could be a super league first.



i think cas will take the game seriously whilst seeing how fit isa,widders and aspinwall are who all missed last weeks win but hope to be available for the semi final with leeds.

i wouldnt mind seeing a 40-40 draw tig and pass sort of game with both sides giving a friendly hanshake and a wink at full time has im sure we both have bigger fish to fry the following weekend.

Surely Aspinwall could not be fit. Hock was training for 2 year. Then training for a couple of months with Wigan and he is not fit.

from what i hear he spent 5 weeks in a open prison and was aloud to train,he came out of prison last week so he will have had over a week back at the club,not much difference to a player thats been out with a bit of a knock.

FAir enough.

He's due to appear at Wigan Magistrates the day before our semi final. Nice timing. Not.
