Graham SHOULD be OK to play on Friday. Meli also returns to the team. Wheeler will play at 6.

Perry, Gaskell, Pryce, Flannery and Clough are all ruled out.

Clough likely to be out for longer than anticpated with a trapped nerve in his shoulder. Pryce out longer due to a setback.

Still a decent side even with the injuries. The bench is light, but Moore and Magennis have been going well recently. Graham playing is a boost with Perry and Clough missing.

Gaskell will be out for around six weeks as he has fractured his ankle. That is such a shame because he was doing so well.

According to the RFL site, Shaun Magennis dislocated his finger, broke his nose and suffered a calf strain ... but should still be playing! Is he determined, or what?

That won't happen. Simmons appears to like the size to start the game and then go into the subs rotation. With Graham and LMS able to do long minutes it isn't a problem to have Puletua starting at loose and then moving into the prop rotation as the game goes on.

I think his theory is that big first wears down the opposition. They do the hard yards first and the rest of the team cash in on the back of that. But he might adopt a totally different approach for Wigan, who knows? It'll be a backs against the wall jobbie again anyway, given our numbers. I just hope we come through without adding to the injury list (although that does seem unlikely).

It might sound daft, but I don't think a little break will do him any harm. He's secured his status as a 1st team squad player with his impressive form, a break now will allow him to mentally rest. The pressure on gaskell given his age/experience/position must have been an awful lot. Hopefully a few weeks out will have him focussed on wanting to be back in the mix and all freshened up.

I agree but I think he was responding well to it. When did he last drop a ball for example? Seems like weeks ago. While his kicking is inconsistent, he has pulled off some beauties; same with his passes. He's been looking more and more the part with each week. Long time to go, obviously, but considering he was thrown in at the deep end with only 1.5 first grade games last year, he has done terrifically well.

Meanwhile, assuming he can keep fit, we will now get to see what Wheeler can do at 6!

When you think we have our 2 'starting' halves out in Pryce and Eastmond and now Gaskell who is a replacement half is injured. It's amazing we still have 2 half's in the quality of Wheeler and Lomax on the pitch.

I agree. But this is all we have left now! It's a bit scary. I hope they can both stay fit otherwise it looks like Wilkin will end up getting another run in the halves.

Yeah, he was out with that last week too so it must be coming to an end, unless its really bad. You don't see many chest infections lasting over 2 weeks. Although, next week he might of left his boots in his mum's car or something.
