| I understand Walsh May be back next week which will upset saddo who is off to the saints shop to have Wello 7 put on the back of his shirt. However, the team is looking much stronger with Amor, lms and walmesley back. Can't see the backs changing much other than Walsh if he is fit. Wheeler is history, and Dawson did enough last night to keep his place. Picking the subs is going to be tricky with so many top performances last night,

| The backs were a bit of a mish mash - who was actually playing right centre - Wellens, Soliola? The return of some senior forwards some mean jones can move back there. ( he didn't seem to spend much time there last night).
One thing I do know is that Walmsley, Amor, LMS AND a fitter Mose is going to be a real handful up front, even for the "Giants".

It will be great having the big men back but we need that little man back IMO. Walshy can unlock a defence and that's what we will need next. It will be tough grinding out another like last night.

| I think I'm on too much of a high, I can only see a come down from such giddy heights. Which is funny because going into the game I was thinking we'll lose against Leeds but take on Huddersfield and win.

| If Walsh is back and with the main set of props back I'd go with:
Lomax
Makinson
Jones
Dawson
Swift
Hohaia
Walsh
Amor
Roby
Richards
Soliola
Flanagan
Wellens
Mose
Walmsley
Greenwood
LMS
Savelio and Thompson unlucky to miss out. The forwards last night have given Brown a real headache.

| Hudds have tough game against Wire tomorrow and two less days to recover. I dont doubt Warrington arnt the same team, but they are no mugs and will hopefully cause Hudds some damage

Richards it's unlikely to feature - You have omitted Lafranchi and Manu
Walmsley will start. Tough choices for NB between LMS, Lafranchi, Greenwood, Wello, Flannagan - the kind of competition for places we need.
Still WILKO, Turner, Percival to come back too.

| Why is Richards unlikely to feature? I have omitted Laffranchi, I feel like the youngsters showed up better than him last night. His defence was great but he doesn't offer much in attack, whereas the like of Thompson, Walker, Greenwood, etc make more yards out of sheer enthusiasm alone. I don't know the extent of Manu's injury which is why I left him out and I put Walmsley on the bench for a bit more impact. Like you said, a good problem with Brown to have with so many competitive players.

Keeping walmsley on the bench also leaves him open to play little minutes, just to give his shoulder some more time, if things are going in our favour.
For mine
Lomax
Makinson Jones Dawson swift
Lance wellens
Amor Roby Mose
Flanaghan greenwood
LMS
Laffranchi Richards Walmsley Soliola
If no one else is back. As and when more people are likely to be back it might change.

Either he's injured again and thats his last chance gone, or he's not getting picked because he's not up to it even when Walsh's injured.
The final possibility is that he's not taking care of himself professionally, as NB alluded to in preseason.
Either senario suggest his time has gone at Saints.

| Regardless of how talented Wheeler may be, if we are looking to have a settled team then there's no point including him for obvious reasons.

| I would have thought once Percival is settled into the back line this season it will the introduction of Charnock for next season.
At the moment Lance is doing enough to keep Wheeler out of the 17.
For the Huddersfield game I would like to see Joe Greenwood getting one of the bench spots.

| Thompson and Greenwood look the pick of the young forwards atm. Those two should definitely get in the team and keep their place for Hudds.
Walker and Richards have done well but I think LMS and Amor will come in for both.
Savelio looked good with the ball but he didn't seem quite up to speed in defence. He'll probably come back in a couple of weeks.
I think laffranchi has been average so id drop him
In favour of one of the youngsters:
Amor
Roby
Masoe
Flanagan
Soliola
LMS
Walmsley
Thompson
Greenwood
Manu

I'd disagree with Thompson mate. I think Walker, Richards are ahead of him in terms of back up props. Walker and Richards seen to hold their weight more in the tackle. Thompson runs like a train and gets the meters as he's pretty fast for a prop but on impact he's virtually stopped in his tracks. I like all 3 of them but IMO they just ahead of him.
Greenwood has come on leaps and bounds. Brown wanted him to be more aggressive in both attack and defence and looks like he's added that to his game so far this year.

No agenda, but it's a reasonable question to ask why when Walsh and Wilkin are out, he's not featuring?

Previous history would lead to saints fans rioting if he signed a new contract if they announced he was injured?

This is my problem with it all. As frustrated and despairing as I am with him and his injury record, I'd still much rather he lined up for us than against us. (And you could put good money on him never missing his games vs saints for the next 10 years!) it's a dilemma that's for sure, I wouldn't blame saints either way (that said I'm sure the masses will cause outcry if he goes and plays against us/ he stays and continues his injury run)
