| Similar result as v Wire but a higher score surely.
If Hull FC bring the defence that played Catalans I can't see Saints scoring less than 40.

Would agree think this may be only change, but if something isnt broke dont fix it. Stick Masoe on that bench and we will take some beating this year IMO

| Will it be Percival vs Crookes?
That will be very good to watch, both very talented with the ball, both shakey in defence.

Their defence was comical especially in the last 20 mins!

| The luxury of naming an unchanged squad!! Hoping the lads can put on a similar performance as last week, which will certainly be enough to take the points against Hull. Would like to see Lance get a run from the bench.

| I too would hope for Wellens to make way for Lance.
He's a solid tackler in the middle of the park and would give Robes some rest. If we play robes for 80 minutes each week, come the business end he's going to be far less effective.
Obviously you have to judge a game as it's played, but if it goes well we need to make sure he's not burn't out.

yep agree with all of that. It makes no sense to have a high profile player like Lance sat about. If he cant get in the 17, whats the point of having him?!

| I'd keep Wello personally as the slightly less worse option.
Hi-ho doesn't cut for me; he's had enough chances. At least Wello is a bit of a "has been" whereas Lance was never a "has" (with us).
Glad to Wheeler making two games on the trot, he will soon be in the Guinness Book of Records.
(I'm a big fan in reality)
Can't wait for Friday, we scraped a lucky draw at home against Hull last year. This year if play anything like the first match we will demolish them.

| Perhaps it is just me, but I don't consider Saints the massive favourites that everyone else seems to be.
Favourites yes. Clear favourites, yes. However, Hull are consistently the most inconsistent team in the league and I wouldn't put it past them to outplay Saints.
As for the team, there's no huge need to change it. The only option I would consider is dropping Percival to ensure sufficient defensive solidity. Lineham and Crooks could have a field day against Percival and Swift.

but Crookes can be just as shakey as Percy, I'd give him the start, if it looks like it'll cost us dear, we can always move jones in.

| The was it the CC final when Lineham and/or Crooks where bigged up before the match and had a mare during.
I did not see a lot of Hull last year, but at this time of year the battle is going to be in the forwards. Percival and Swift can be just as cutting edge. I really thought they settled down last week after a shakey opening couple of minutes.

Lineham was injured and didn't play in the CC final. Crooks was risked despite initially being ruled out for the season with an ankle injury. Yes he struggled but he clearly wasn't fit, and didn't play again in the last 4 games of the season.

Wasn't it the other crooks (Jason?) who also had a dire game?

Yes, but he's not playing, long term injury. In fact it wouldn't surprise me if he's already played his last game for Hull.
And its Ben CROOKS the centre, and Jason CROOKES the winger.

| Whatever the result tomorrow (and obviously I hope its 2 points coming back to Hull), lets hope that the match is a fitting tribute to the one and only Steve Prescott. I can't be there, but will be thinking of him. Hope you all have a good night.

| I honestly cant remember. I just recall one wing being torn to bits. I shall be listening in via the dulcite tones of ray French and Rooney. So I expect the pitch to be in perfect condition and some champagne rl to be on display.
