When the ref is as weak as James child, awful awful tackle, cop out of the highest and it could have cost you the game with GOB being the 1st choice kicker. Green sin bin was a consolation but they should have been down to 12 long before that.

Couldn't see at the match how bad it was. Was the contact to the head? What did he use to make contact (elbow, shoulder) ?

Similar to so many others, Sam Moa vs London last year, Puletua vs Catalans... both of which were awarded red cards!

ye totally agree bottled making a big decision no good it been on report and him been banned for a game against London or something. He penalised dudson aswell for punching an arm he did exact same thing a few sets later and nothing. to be fair the officials in super league are shocking there embarrassing at times to be perfectly honest. Good win though thoroughly deserved.

You need to almost decapitate for Child to send some one off, the other annoyance will be the disciplinary knowing the Wigoons have a semi final coming up and might produce the get out of jail card.

ironic thing is, he gave luke robinson a straight red card for an almost similar thing in Perpignan, but on seeing the replays when I got home was nowhere near as bad.

What I want to know is how Taylor can continue to play in that game whilst O'Brien is off the pitch recovering from concussion. I really don't care what happens to that coward now, what I care about is that we should have been the beneficiary of him being punished in the game when he commits the offence.

It was obvious to everyone in the ground that it was a shocking tackle, even Wane brought him off. I'm bemused that refs can hide behind just putting a player on report. It should come with an automatic sin-binning IMO.

Refs don't have to make any decisions if the game is on tele. Just play on and I can save my own by going to the screen.

So all an accident and nothing at all to do with him dropping the point of his shoulder into the base of O'Brien's skull, late and from behind when he couldn't brace for it? It was a very deliberate cheap shot and very dangerous. Given the shoulder charge is a new rule change, you'd think they would be cracking down on it.

I bet you are cool with all the cannonball tackles Wigan do as well? How would you feel as a fan if someone ended Tomkins' or Hampshire's career with one of those?

Bloke behind me was saying if either player is taken off when an incident is put on report, it doesn't count as a substitution. Don't know how true that is, but it's particularly cynical of the Ape if it is true.

If Princess Sam was involved, it'd be a different matter altogether.
