| North stand allocated seats no longer available to order on line. Posh side seem to be going well too. Looking good for next year.

| This doesn't mean anything as I'm guessing 4,000 or so of those unavailable will be currently reserved to season ticket holders.
The club really should publicise the sales or have a tracker on the internet.

While you are correct the club can't release current ST seats, however I know circumstances change but it is not a broad stretch to imagine the vast majority of people who bothered to buy a season ticket for a year in Widnes are going to renew in the shiny new stadium at the same prices. Several from the North have swopped to the South or changed blocks so it would be interesting if the club have been able to "release" those tickets and sold them already or have to wait also if you look at the sales in blocks D, E, G, H in the south stand that is promising, after all this is just over a week of sales with all to come on corporate on top.
I do agree it would be good if the club had a tracker or posted when we break through barriers 5000, 7500 etc and it would be nice if we had an idea how many had been sold in the unallocated areas, family & east stands, maybe a counter showing how many left.

True maybe they had to take them off to readjust and free up seats for those moving, doesn't look like more than 150-200 spare

| My Sister in Law and Nephew are planning giving up their North Stand seats and going behind the sticks. One of the main things that has aggravated her at Widnes is the siting of the 3D cameras which obscure the view of the big screen.
Anyone know where these are going to be sited in the new stadium as it will be a major consideration for me when I renew as I am sat in the same position as them?

If they can get to one of the forums at the Park Inn, there will be someone there to explain the plans, including camera sitings as that will all be known now. The staff are really helpful and it's a nice environment to chat about the stadium. Cool plans too!

| We have (had) four seat reserved in the North Stand block E.
Unfortunately somehow the club has already sold one by mistake and put some bloke in the middle of us.
They offered to move all of us to somewhere near the back, but that negated the whole idea of booking our seats 1 year in advance.
They are trying to get hold of this innocent guy to try to buy his ticket back. I suppose the next thing will be to offer to move us to the south stand.

| That's unfortunate.
I guess Saints would have had to have been extremely lucky to get away with such a project unscathed. They are bound to make a mistake here and there. Hopefully things will get sorted for you. It should be the new person who gets moved. You've endured Widnes and so you have rights!

| I've just had a look online and there is very little available space left in the north allocated side. But I would not suggest that this indicates massive sales. In fact when you look at the plan this would be 5/8ths of the north side more or less.
The south side has plenty left and well it's impossible to tell for the rest of the ground,
I can see why numbers are not published, if the numbers are low this does not help if the numbers are high it can put people off trying. With the unknown most people are risk averse and will hedge their bets to not get stuck on the edges come match day in unallocated seating.
Key will be camera positions, lets hope they are pointing the right way next year.
Strangely on the south side there are a large amount down at the front unavailable. Anyone any idea why? I'm assuming they are not sold as you would imagine they would show as in use, like on the north stand.
I'd estimate there are about 200 left available in the north stand butpeople may move.

I sit along the popular side now, but I'm thinking of swapping to the West stand for some terrecing action.

| How do Saints expect to sell tickets when they don't even put adverts in the Star or Reporter. The only mention is a small article about the forums.

Do you not read the Star? It had a massive spread with big pics of the new stadium and details about the forums in the edition before the forums started. Saints have done all they can do this time, short of sticking posters in shops.

They've not to be fair. What they should be doing is getting 'hot squads' onto it, passing out fliers with vouchers etc, like they do in holiday resorts for bars. Saints need to really push the season tickets rather than meander along like they always do.
The brochures are nice, but they need to get them forced into people's hands. Wouldn't cost much, a couple of stands in the town centre everyday, costing no more than a few grand over the next couple of months.
If the forums are anything to go by, there are a lot of questions and teh forums, whilst a good idea, aren't enough as people might not be able to get there at that time.
TV adverts are another issue. Wigan have used TV advertising for individual matches, so if the economics work for one match, surely they would also work for a season ticket push?

I disagree. But I do think that should be their approach for the opening match of the season/opening festivities/whatever they plan to do when they are finally ready to welcome everyone in. THAT should be the big splash, and I'll volunteer to hand fliers and stuff out myself!

| Brochures to current season ticket holders are a bit of a waste of time IMO, not many won't renew next year.
Also the forums are a bit of a waste, the queue on Wednesday was over an hour long at 6pm. Two stewards were attempting to turn people away due to it. Good customer service from their point of view, they didn't want people to waste their time, but terrible from a selling point of view. I was also given duff information on the seating arrangements by a chap in glasses who didn't appear too enthused about answering my questions when I did go in, meaning a wasted journey for a mate to the shop to sort out tickets that didn't need to be.
Having said that, this is the renewal period, I'd expect a much bigger push once the early bird period starts and they are pushing to new fans.

Whereas although I had to wait for an hour to renew my ticket (and I only got there at 6pm), I found it all very friendly, helpful and informative. I also enjoyed watching the matches!
