It's no shock. Everyone expected it. He told the club last Wednesday of his decision and all agreed best left to after the Easter period.

Genuinely world class player who has put his body on the line in every single game he has played for saints. Has earned the right to play down under and will hopefully return to cement his place as an all time great saints player. But now the club needs to move on and use his salary to improve the team for next year. Good luck and thanks for some great years jammer

Totally different situation from the $eastmoney situation as can be seen from these first few comments.

JG is a player who gives 100% all the time and genuinely cares and this will be clearly reflected in how the fans will view his departure. This is player testing himself (yes he is getting well paid for it) and good luck to him.

There's too much money in the NRL. SL clubs cannot compete. Most likely we'll be forced to spend on second tier NRL talent.

Good luck to Graham. But this (and the loss of our other marquee name - Eastmond) hardly speaks volumes for the stature of the club - especially moving to a new stadium - or SL in general.

Great player and will fit in with saints. He's just returned from wrist and shoulder ops and is now out for 2 month with ankle injury.

It says nothing about the stature of the club, it speaks volumes about the stature of the NRL over Superleague i agree with you on that, it also speaks volumes about the salary cap in Oz and the the exchange rate between oz and here
