Honestly i'll be surprised if he gets more than a warning letter, if Wilkin felt there was undue pressure on his arm he's fair to question it, after the amount of time he was out last year with shoulder damage, and seeing Mike bennets and Scully's careers ended with similar injuries he's right to be worried.
As for the incident 50/50 really, lots of things happen in the heat of battle, it isnt tiddly winks

we all know its not tiddly winks , but these players are professional and their livelihoods depend on being available to play . Now the sport is hard enough without some morons going all out to deliberately injuring the opposition.

I think he'll just get a warning for the chicken wing because I'm not sure it was intentional.

Except in the case of Jon Wilkin, you can see in the playback that he is pushing Wilkin's arm back. Whether that is a chicken wing, I don't know, but something was going on that looked dodgy. Likewise with Soliola. The heat of battle need not include deliberately putting pressure on an arm/shoulder when the tackle has already been completed, which in Wilkin's case, it had. The action was unnecessary.

However, I don't for one minute think the RFL will do anything about it. Possibly a letter home to mummy.

Nothing lazy in what I saw. I could see him working on Wilkin's arm. The tackle was already done. It sure looked deliberate. I can't comment on the Soliola one as I don't remember what that looked like.

I couldn't really make out what Wilkin's complain was about, but it obviously hurt him.
There was one on Soliola that looked worse, which the posters on the Pie forum are attributing to Lima also.

I'm a strong believer that terms like 'grass' and 'tell tale' are the inventions of guilty people and cowards who don't like getting caught out and punished for their misadventures and/or are unable/unwilling to accept their guilt.

I noticed the Soliola one when it happened, couldn't see anything in the Wilkin one but I assumed that as he'd already done it once in the game, it was possible. You can tell Soliola was a bit more used to those sort of "alleged" tactics, didn't even blink when it happened.

That's because Soliola is hard and Wilkin is just a pussy whipped bitch. These tactics are used every game. They only ever come to light when a player vocally expresses his concern to an official, Silverwood had no choice but to include it in his after match report as well as it being picked up on live TV. The outcome will probably be a one match ban and a slap on the wrist, if they make an example out of Lima so early on in the season, the RFL disciplinary panel is going to be very busy this year!

Nope, all teams do it sunshine. Your'e just to biased to see it. It's a tactic used by all forwards, unfortunately some players see it through more than others.

Careful with those stones and glass houses. For misconduct penalties we were the 5th cleanest team. Stains were the 5th dirtiest.

Don't forget that doesn't include the 80% of things you get away with traditionally too.

Although now that Cunningham's retired Super League is officially 30% cleaner than last year. Hey, if Pryce stays injured and you drop Wilkin, that could go as high as 90%!

We were 3rd in the fair play league and had zero sin bins, zero sendings off and zero match bans.

Wigan were 3rd bottom of the fair play league, the most penalised team in SL, had the most penalised player in SL, 7 sin bins and 3 match bans.

None of our players ever broke a man's eye socket and got away with it. Neither could we break the salary cap (in Saints' case more times than any other team) and get away with it. Nor could we have a player guilty of assault and get away with it. And I doubt we could have that same player assault another player's testes... and get away with it.

Like I said, the Fair Play League doesn't count all those things you get away with regularly. It's effectively meaningless when it comes to St Helens.

No, but you can break it and still nearly get relegated. You're right though, Saints are naughty with salaries. Not quite as naughty as paying contracted players cash in hand to try to get them to sign for you, which they then spend on a holiday though eh?
