Seems everytime it gets tough in games he crumbles. Teams now know just to hurt him and he'll be going off. Its a shame because the lad was having an awesome season till he got injured.

He was never ready i told the mrs if he plays he will go off again if i was steve mac i wouldn't have him in the squad for down under

Give him the off season to get fully fit it's a shame really he's a good player and getting hit with injurys so young

If Steve Mac keeps to what he said on Boot ' n ' All, saying he wont take half injured players, then Eastmond will have the off season to get himself right. He need to be patient because he's still young and there will be plenty of chances to play in the four nations.

He shouldn't play next week, he needs time to recover. I really feel for the lad, you could see he was devastated.

While I understand what you say, in reality his devastation isn't important. The team is important. Not only should he never have put up his hand to play, Potter should never have chosen him. We had an injured player on the pitch for 60 minutes but we also had changes in our lineup that we really didn't need in a playoff match. Both were serious issues that Cunningham put right.

With Kyle, your heart is in your mouth time he gets tackled or makes a tackle. It's like you expect him to get up limping.

I would have gone along with his choice. If he's fit then he plays.

I wouldn't have picked him to be honest, even if he was fit, i don't think he and smith would work together at halfback, both like to be the main man and it just didn't work while kyle was on the pitch.

It was like nobody wanted to stand on the others toes so nobody took charge.

I wouldn't pick kyle again until next year.

Somebody commented to me it was only around 5 times which seems quite alarming.

As a neutrel I agree he seemed to go hiding infact I only realised he was on when eddie h mentioed him as u say should never have been picked now unless Gardner was injured I'm sure he was pretty peed off

it's becoming a farce.. a few blokes i know were taking bet's to the nearest time he'd come off injured..(wonder who won?)
he's still overated for me...all this hype about him goes over the top...like i said in an earlier post im still not convinced about him.

For me Its down to poor decisions by the coach and the medical staff. He was never fit last night,despite what they said about It being a different injury.
Just throwing the kid out there and hopeing he pulls through isn't whats needed.
Its laying him open to ridicule which some people are only to happy to oblige.

I'm pretty sure he played the first 13/14 games this year straight through and there'd be no reason for him not to have finished each of them games. I'd wager that he's finished the 80 more than 5 times.

It was obvious he wasn't fit - even when he was on the pitch, he never got involved in the play. It was almost as if we were playing with 12 men. If its going to be the same next week, i'd rather play Lomax or Moore along with Smith in the halves.

Since when has Eastmond been signed up by a short sighted club to sit and wallow in their reserve side simply so that no other club could have him ?

I don't think Smith likes to be the main man, I think he is [iused[/i to organising his charges around the park. He's an organising 7. What was he supposed to do at 6? He hasn't played there before has he? But he won't have felt able to take charge while the chosen no.7 was on the pitch, which was for almost 60 minutes of the match. Had Kyle been fit and had he been played at 6, rather than 7, then I think Smith and Eastmond could have worked very well together. But the way Potter played it inhibited Smith and of course did nothing for Kyle who should never have been on the pitch at all.

Eastmond should never have been selected. Clearly wasn't fit from the start. His only involvement in the first half was two runs out in the left centre channel were he spent 38 minutes and one run from first reciever. Hardly the input of a leading halfback. His inclusion cocked up our defensive structure on the left and gifted Hudds two tries.
Gardner back in for next weekend and no Eastmond.
The lad has obviously come back too early every time.

Being the main man as in oranising the team. I think kyle being on the pitch put smith into his shell a little.

I can't see how playing 6 could have put smith off his game, he can play his normal game at 6.
