I loved JC when he came over and I've still got a lot of time for him now. He was an awesome player and is a fantastic bloke. But in professional sport there comes a time when your losses have to be cut. He's contributed bo didley again this season through injury and I read today that Potter doesn't think he'll be back this year at all. If so, how long does the club leave it before they do the hand on shoulder and 'now look here Jason' routine and retire him?

I hate to suggest his time is up and I'm no medical professional but it's hard to see Cayless ever getting back where he belongs in the V leaning in at 45 degrees.

His contract is up at the end of this season and there are rumours that he wants to return to Australia. I say buy him a ticket and wave him off! He was a great player but we are not a rich club and we simply can't keep carrying long term injured and expensive players.

I'm pretty sure his contract isn't up this year.

Fielden to Saints

I'd take Fielden on a cheap deal, the change of coach may do him good.

Fielden just needs something to get angry about.

If he came cheap enough and he was motivated he'd be worth a punt actually.

If he can change from world class to poop in an instant, surely he can do the reverse

Fielden isn't as bad as some people think, mainly due to his price tag that he gets alot of stick and since being at Wigan goes through alot of good work un noticed, particularly in defence and has been one of our top tacklers every year. He also hasn't had the luxury at Wigan with what he had at Bradford. He wouldn't be far off at Saints IMO if you hd another prop along with him aswell as Graham.

You'd think his precipitous career nosedive would be sufficient.

Is David Farleigh still the assistant coach at Paramatta? If so he'll certainly be able to rate young props coming through the ranks - and maybe he and Daniel Anderson can do us a favour by throwing one or two our way?
