The next time saints take the field at Leeds we should have a full squad to choose from!

Will potter go with his tried and tested line up or will he throw the odd surprise?

Will eastmond be out of our 17 or will he play him at 7 or play longy and eastmond?

If he plays longy and eastmond then where will pryce play?

Whatever potter goes with it will be great to at last have options!

Options don't mean a thing when the team is so out of form. I find it funny that a lot of people seem to think that Cayless and Maurie returning will suddenly elevate us to the level we have been at in reecnt seasons. It won't happen. Rugby League is about momentum, both within a game and from week to week. You can't just jump from the turgid form we've been in to hitting the straps and smashing teams off the park. It's a slow process of building that we've not got the time to pull off. Cayless is going to be useless for the rest of this season he's got a pre season of rehab ahead of him as he's not played much over the last 2 seasons. Fa'asavalu will also need a few weeks.

Leeds will beat us by about 40 but the challenge for Potter is to pick them back up off the floor to do the same to Catalans the week after.

Hat about at halfback?

I think I'd go with longy and Kyle. Longy should give us the direction we have been lacking and Kyle will be his normal threat with ball in hand and also kick goals. I think it would work.

Your prob correct about cayless but maurie should still give us some impact off bench that we have been lacking!

It can only be better for potter with more options.

Leeds turned around a 38-10 defeat by us in the Play Offs last year to beat us two weeks later. I don't expect a miraculous recovery all of a sudden, but our season isn't a write off either.

AND we havent even lost yet lol ..

Reading in todays Rugby papers it says MP will play Long as he feels Kyle and co still have quite a bit to learn.

If I were Slick Mick I'd pick Long at 7. There is no question about that, Kyle isn't anywhere near the standard Long sets at the moment. I would however include Kyle somewhere, even as interchange hooker as we need pace somewhere on the pitch.

I think longy and kyle at halfback is worth a crack. Longy would give us the direction we need while Kyle would give us that pace that worries teams.

As for pryce either loose forwrd/centre.

well pryce hasn't done anything a 6 should for weeks so i agree with that, he needs to know he has to fight for his place.

Thats great isn't it, so why are they letting longy go at the end of the season if they think Eastmond isn't ready?

Because he doesn't have two years left in him as a top class player.

We also have Ellis, remember. Poor lad has only had two full matches, both of them with a beaten pack. I hope he gets some good game time next season (assuming he isn't required for injury cover this season) since I think it would be a good idea for us to explore what all our young players can do before deciding which one to offer the jersey to.

It would give us some much needed attack outwide if we moved pryce to centre.

Teams know they can't give kyle any room or he will cut them up.

Longy would provide direction and a kicking game.

Also we would have goal kicker in Kyle.

Fas and Cayless will bring back the unexpected, which is something else we've missed now that Cullen gave away our one attacking play. I hope Kyle is on the bench because, along with Roby, we'll have an interchange to squeeze out wins. Am I the only one to think we can beat Leeds?

from a Leeds point of view, We will be going into our game with Ali, burgess, kirke and bailey on the bench. That a massive bench with plenty of power and pace!! If you go into the game with roby and eastmond on the bench you are asking alot of a pack that has got through some solid graft this year, for you to have success IMO you need to go with roby and 3 big'ns
