Going perfectly to their gameplan it has to be said. They are superbly coached and are exploiting the weak refereeing to completely stop any momentum Saints ever start. We've made scores of half breaks and the next play the ball which should be a quick dart for an easy 15 metres is stopped dead as they hold down for five or six seconds. You can't blame them for it, they know that's the way to beat us and as last week if the ref isn't policing that element it goes a massive way to deciding the game.

The second half will need to be completely different if we are going to get anything from the game. We scored 10 points last week, 4 this week, our attack is clueless and devoid of ideas. We'll only score in the second half if they make a mistake, so it doesn't bode well. For the Giants they look pacy and inventive going forward, their tries are the kind we used to be able to score and they've looked dangerous whenever they've completed a set. Massively impressed with Huddersfield so far. For me the outcome was decided when Long didn't make the side. We miss him so much

Our lack of pace is really being highlighted this season though. It's embarassing when your winger is being outpaced by one of their second rowers.

Regardless of how well we do this season, we need some pace in our backs and badly.

We don't even look like scoring again... Huddersfield DESERVE this victory (that is the ONLY way this game is going) should be a good day out for Wire and Huddersfield fans... Plus going 4 times on the bounce is just greedy!

GREAT defence from Huddersfield today. If they hold out, you cannot say they didn't deserve it.

Superb performance from Hudds.

They are better than us. Their forwards are stronger, their halves better organisers and more creative. Their outside backs embarrass ours in terms of pace.

Make that twice now, for one of our wingers being outpaced by a 2nd rower.

Brilliant. I really really hope they beat Warrington at Wembley.

Huddersfield well deserved their victory today, they were better in defence and attack. If they had not have made SO many mistakes, they would have put a bigger score on us.

We were pretty poor in attack. All the signs were there last week against Wigan. We seem to have no idea when we get in to the opponents 25. When other teams are putting in pin point kicks that result in tries or drop outs, we are coming up with nothing.

Also I must say Huddersfields super defence also made our general attack look one dimensional. We have one line of runners and then a second wave. Sometimes we pass to the first, sometimes the second. That is about as varied as our attack is sometimes. Huddersfield were just storming the second wave, making them look flat, and our attack painfully predictable.

We really need to sharpen up our attack, and have a plan B for when our opponents control the ruck.

Poor display, but can't take anything away from Huddersfield. Greatly deserved, and there is a lot we can learn from them.

Missing Longy big time. Eastmond's last play options have been rubbish.

He trys to win the game on his own, he'll learn though, a cracking player.

Cunningham will be out for weeks there, looks like a torn hamstring for the King. He was awesome today, our one shining light.

Gilmour played well, Meli had a very good game & James Graham worked his nuts off.

Huddersfield had 17 stars today. More passion than I've seen in any game this season.

Let's just hope that Shudds take more than 5,000 fans to this final.

What happened to Saints' deep attacking formation today,where they pass out wide 15 yards behind the 'advantage line' thus creating time and space?I thought they played a very flat passing game today which played into the hands of Huddersfield.

Can't understand why they left him on when injured at the end. He wasn't fit enough to contribute much. Did they not have any subs left?

Huddersfield closed us down with our wide options. Their defence was up in our face and we ended up trying to force the pass in those wide situations. Huddersfield were far better than us today. That's the way she goes.
