Was a top performance last night from the King. Led from the front a true captain.

He missed a number of tackles early on though.

A good game overall, but I think it started to show towards the end that he can't do a full 80 anymore, but that's something we've known for a while now.

I have to agree over the last year or so, since he bulked up, he has been in the form of his life.

Im still hoping he will lead us out at the new stadium.

Best player ever.

That would be great, and if he is still playing for us then (assuming a) we move in in 2011 like suggested and b) he avoids serious injury) then he wouldn't be far off the 500 game mark by then either.

If you can't beat us in that game - you never will. Short recovery time after what will be a big hard fought game (ala last night.) While your team will have an easy game - probably resting players and playing the match on home territory.

It would have been nice to have played you after your encounter with Leeds and see how you would have fared.

Im hoping for 1 more year but if not we got a great understudy in roby

I see scott moore as his replacement with roby continuing his impact player role. Alternatively i think matty smith would make a good hooker.

IMO Matty Smith will replace Long at scrum half but Roby will be starting hooker when Cunningham retires.

I can't see smith back at 7, Eastmond is more naturally gifted in that position, if he can stay injury free.

Eastmond at fullback maybe, with Wheeler at stand off.

The best thing is that the younger players seem very adaptable, Wheeler a standoff looked like an international winger last night. Eastmond also can play any back position. The futures bright.

As exciting as he has looked, Eastmond hasn't yet proven he could play any position for Saints. I think the fact that he hardly ever plays say it all.

If he packed in tonight he wouldn't owe us a penny.


Without a shadow of a doubt the greatest servant Saints have ever had.
