| So Foster has paid the price for last week.
Roby, LMS and Lomax back.
If Lomax is fully fit I can see Wheeler dropping out. Hohaia on the bench?
Would expect Magennis to be left out.

| Well I reckon, back on the bench will go, so with that Lance to start at halfback and with no Gaskell, it will depend on Lomax being fit and Wilkin kicking from 13. Not a revolution but a bigger bench that previously.

Meli, Makinson
Lance, Lomax

| no gaskell? dropped? no reason given on the website, so thats lance at 6 and lomax at 7
no foster either which means we havnt had same two wingers start 2 games in a row yet this season, but i do think its the right call, some of the mistakes foster has made this year have been big and leeds would have peppered him the whole game and odds on he would of come up with another costly one
IMO no fanno or wheels

I missed that. Lomax and Wheeler in the halves, then? Or do we think Hohaia will be moved? (I'd put him on the bench, personally)
I do think Wheelers movement lends itself more to 2nd receiver, and would work well with Lomax (or Lance at 1st).

| Can't see Gaskell being dropped for Lance to still stay on the bench. We need a leader directing the play. Lance will probably be that man, with Wilkin kicking from 13. Wheeler to play if Lomax ain't fit.

Just missign Bailey and JJB? It looks like a tough prospect on that veiwing, but still possible if we pull our finger out.

Too right, just hope KC and MR have put the squad through their paces and analysed every single bit of video thay can on Leeds to develop a game plan that can be adaptable and unpredictable as Rob Burrow's movement with ball in hand!

Now that Robes is back, Gaskell can be taken out of the spotlight. He needed that every now and again last season too. I reckon Hohaia and either Lomax or Wheeler in the halves. I would imagine Meli will remain as centre under the new regime. After all it is Leeds we are playing. We need to give them some tries down our left channel!

| Interesting. I think the undeserved and ridiculous dropping of Gaskell and that of Foster shows that the senior players are having an influence on how the team has been selected. The likes of Flannery and Gardner have done nothing to suggest they should be involved in the squad.

| Will be interesting to see Lance Hohaia pretend to be a halfback at the weekend, if that's what they have come up with.

| McGuire not in the Leeds team now on their official website.
Foster has paid the price but why Gaskell isn't in there is a puzzler. Its quite simple that Hohaia will go into 6 with Lomax at 7 but from there its complicated. Meli back out onto the wing? No thanks but then TMak would have to drop out if Wheeler were to go back in at centre.
Wellens
Gardner
Shenton
Meli
TMak
Hohaia
Lomax
TP
Robes
Clough
Franchise
Dixon
Wilkin
LMS
Perry
Flanagan
Wheeler
TMak and Magennis to miss out, but i like the uncertainty of the team.

| Sia was touch and go this week but obviously we not risking him with a tough Easter period coming up.
Jamie foster wouldn't have played last week either if Ade was fit.

Most of the mistakes of the last three weeks were made by Foster and/or Gaskell (excluding penalties given away, which seemed to involve our senior players mostly). Both need a break.

I agree that it makes sense to take a little presure Gaskell every now and then but the question of who we play there is a tough one.
Wheeler looked lost last week and I don't think lance is a natural halfback.
Should be interesting.

Saved him for what exactly? I don't understand the logic behind resting a player for the most winnable of three games where we are clearly the underdog? Play him against Leeds and try to get at least 1 win. This way, it just makes 3/3 defeats more likely as the other two games look remote chances given how those sides are currently playing.

I didn't say they are saving, I said looks like they not risking him as he's obviously not 100% fit. No point in playing him if he's still struggling with the knee then losing him for the next month.
I know sia really wanted to be fit for this one.

I wouldn't agree at all that Gaskell has made 'most of the mistakes of the last three weeks'. The Hull FC saw most players at their worst but last week against Bradford, Gaskell was one of the strongest players. Dread Wilkins kicking game on Sunday, and not confident we can bouce back anyway, especially with all that's happened at the club this week and present form.
