Both scored 2 try's against Cas U19's in a 74-14 win.

Both there stats are excellent especially Savelio playing in the pack.

Savelio = 11 games played = 16 try's

Gailbraith = 16 games played = 20 try's

Suprised Savelio has not been given a go in the first team although I seem to remember he was injured recently. The achievement of 16 try,s in 11 games doesn,t go unoticed does it.

What positions do they play? Nice strong sounding names there.

Savelio is very highly thought of at saints and looks the part. I don't think we are rushing him as he's been ill as well this year.

He's a big lad.

Galbraith is a winger. Savelio, son of former player Lokeni Savelio (Salford?), is a back rower.

Savelio is a more dynamic player than Thompson and Richards, he will make the ideal impact player imo.

I just read the U19s reports, so he's bound to sound good in those.

To be fair, it sounds like Savelio is a different proposition to the identikit back rowers we tend to churn out.

To be fair, Thompson is a more exciting prospect than the likes of Ashurstand Co. Hopefully we'll start producing more youngsters for Saints, rather than the other clubs in the league!

Isn't Gailbraith a centre. Sure he played for Pilks recs.

Think he was signed up as a centre from the Olham service area, quite a few clubs were after him from what i can remember. Similar skill level as Percival and having a good season this year.

Galbraith played centre up to 16's for Saddleworth, impressed me a lot in a very good side.
Played more on wing recently and wouldn't have been far off selection for the Academy game in France recently I reckon.

They are both scoring trys for fun. However the standard of the under 19's competition is poor with regular blow out scores for the likes of Wigan, Leeds and St.Helens.

However that being said you can only play whats in front of you and these two kids are two of the highest rated youngsters of their age in the country.

Could anyone compare the standard at that level compared to National one which includes Hornets. One or two on a message board related to the Hornets club have the knives out for Ian Talbot. However I have spoken to a couple of fans of the club and it seems to be quite a bitter element even complaining about having real training facilities instead of a park full of dog muck! It just makes me wonder what benefit we get out of dual reg as these two would be prime candidates for this initiative if it works but maybe the previous system was abandoned a touch quickly.

Thompson reminds me a bit of Liam Farrell when he first came on to the scene. If he turns out as good I'll be delighted.

I think Savelio is definitely one to watch and a future international.

That's a get out of jail free card for us as we'll have about ten players missing for the U19 game at Saints next week.
We might even put Ryan Hampshire 28 trys and 111 goals from 18 games in the 1st team that night.

Because someone mentioned Saints had lost at Huddersfield. Had they won they would have been within four points of top of the league Wigan, and Saints next game is against what will be a very depleted Wigan side.

The mention of Hampshire was just to show that there are other players who have been scoring "big" in the U19's this season.
