I had a few interactions with Saints fans before the game, at HT in the queue and after the game on the way out - I just wanted to say all of them a credit to your club. Especially the guy who came over to shake hands and congratulate us on the way back to the coach - a class act.

Not the first time I've experienced similar at Saints either

I've stood in the middle of the old Saints stand at Knowsley Road, along the touchline, and shouted for Wakey, and no problem at all. Never had a hint of abuse at St Helens. I have at Wigan, just for walking past them wearing a shirt. I agree that they are a good sort, and always have been.

Funny how these things work out. I have never had anything but trouble with Saints fans, yet every Wigan fan I've ever met has been really nice indeed.

Just goes to show you can't generalise, all clubs probably have a similar mix of both types and it's just pot luck which ones you meet
