I agree; playing players in their positions helped a lot, even if some of them were kids making their debuts. Too many round pegs in square holes rips the team flow apart.
Always been a proponent of playing the players you have in their actual positions; even if it means blooding the kids. That's what the reserves/youth teams are there for. I think the crowd will also be more lenient if they see a kid trying his hardest, rather than someone going through the motions, badly, in a position he doesn't have the know-how or ability to play in.
