What did he say?
The school systems, youth systems, through to the academy, reserves....It stems from the start, that's why they are better at Rugby than us. It's drilled into them from an early age, when it comes to professional level, they're like well oiled machines. We will never compete with them until we grow the sport in this country - it's impossible. Ok, we can compete every now and again in a one-off WCC or an international game, but on a whole - we are nowhere near them! I hate to say it but it's true! I went to a school in St Helens, a RL town, and there was no rugby at all....you think that would happen in NSW or Queensland - not a chance. |
