It finished Saints 18 - Wigan 44.
Saints started well and were 12 - 0 up early on but Wigan had far too much pace on the outside and finished comfortable winners. Only Savelio really caused Wigan any problems.

Fair play to Wigan. They where the better team on the day. Have to say that Ryan Hampshire is one hell of a player. If he doesn't play, then Wigan suffer badly. Unfortunately for us today, he was playing.

It has been a very good year for this YOUNG saints team. They have done better this season than I thought they would. It all bodes well for the future though.

We just sat back and let Wigan do what they do best. You can't do that. We should have been in their faces but we weren't. We made it easy for them and that is the most disappointing thing.

I thought Savelio was poor today. A couple of decent forward bursts doesn't outweigh the defensive side for me.

Shelford put in a big shift today.

Hampshire is sublime at this level and the extra pace out wide told eventually.

Forsyth impressed me today.

Shelford IMO has been the most improved young Wigan player this year. Considering it's his first year he has come on week after week. I find it strange that Saints let Forsyth go as he has played well all season for us. he reminds me very much of Joe Burgess in his first year at Wigan.

Forsyth looks about a foot taller this year Rogues than when i saw him play last October. Chance for England Academy team ?
