but:

Following on from the debacle that was our last regular season home game, we have a good couple of days on Huddersfield to lick our wounds and fully prepare for the final test against the Giants. Video needs to be analised for their Strengths and Weaknesses and look at our own performance against Warrington. IMO bin the Wire DVD and start afresh. Work hard on our defensive plays in the middle and our outside. Maybe the time is right to play Hewitt in the halves for a bit of unpredicatability about who is going to play and where....

In my opinion we have to treat this as the start of the play offs, and that from here on in every game matters.

We are effectively only 3 Games away from Old Trafford, and normally following a humilliating defeat we have turned up for an average of 3-4 games afterwards this season.

So as painful a loss it was, The positive Optimist would suggest we could be on the perfect run-in to win the GF, however this is RL and anything can happen between now and October 11th.

I doubt Brown will change tactics or consider using a real halfback. We will go with a largely unchanged team with largely unchanged tactics. We don't have the personel to change much around, certainly not tactics wise.

If we cant outmuscle Hudds we'll lose , if we can we might still lose as they have the kicking game to get them out of trouble.

I would have thought this is what we had been doing the week before the Warrington game. I hope I'm wrong but based on last night I can't see us beating Huddersfield. The need to now rely on other teams doesn't make the prospect of finishing top any sweeter.

We did not even try to out muscle Warrington last night.

But in the end it was the constant coiffing up of possession that killed us.

We could get the hubcap in two days' time. The Huddersfield game may be an irrelevance. Unlikely I admit, but it's a possibility.
