Quote ="edon10"just finished watching a video of Wigan 22 v Saints 32 in 1987.There was a try scored by Phil Vievers he bent down to score, as he was straightning up Shelford sent him flying. The ref gave the try & the coversion was good then the ref pointed in front of the post for the penalty kick. The Wheeler try V Hudds wqs something similar when Brough pulled him back why was that not a 8 point try a conversion & a penalty.I mentioned the 1987 game my son & wife said they have never seen that done before.Has that rule been done away with.I do not bother with rules much apart from gerrom onside & forward passicon_smile.gificon_smile.gif.Perhaps someone will know the answer or was them two tries somewhat different in the scoring of.'"
Was that the game that Wigan were 22 nil up at half time? If it was I went with a St Helens supporting friend, was thoroughly enjoying myself at half time and very quiet at full time.
