Not bad stats from young walker, just as good if not better than the more experienced forwards.

Horrible stats from our forwards, understandable from Sia considering how much work he did. Percival's stats prove just how impressive he was.

Yes I didn't think his stats were brilliant either, but then again Greenwood who came on late in the game when it should have been easier did a lot less even though he is supposed to be the better player. It is hard to pick on the young lads when the veterans are doing so little.

The stats show yet another failure from the front row. Given how much barging up the middle we did during the game someone should have made some distance.

Sia did do a lot of work but the missed tackles he made were very important. Two of Leeds tries came of the back of them.

We were aimless in attack and defence against Leeds, given our stats were also poor it is amazing we actually scored as many tries as them. Despite all that if we had kicked 2/3 goals, which even a part timer should have done, we would have been in the game with 5 mins to go.

In short it was a failure on all levels. I think it is only possible to get better from this point on.

What about Roby ? 51 tackles , 0 penalties . Wilkin sometimes gets excused his penalties due to workrate . Great effort.

I see Soliola missed his usual 3 tackles , Hall's first try due to him. Worked hard in attack , and looked a handful.

One thing the stats miss out on is IMO one of the main things Leeds beat us on and that was defence line speed at the play of the ball. They ran 8 metres to meet our forwards. But when Leeds played the ball we took two steps forward and stopped then waited for the leeds forwards to collide in at full pace; thus carrying the ball a further few yards.

That's quite simply what gave them their field position for their kick and our poor position for our kick.

It's as simple as that for me. I thought it at the game and when I watched it from V+ when I got home that confirmed it.
