The 'step over' PTB is exploited by all teams; and a fast PTB improves the spectacle of the game so surely a good thing?
My bugbear is forward passes. Everyone feels demeaned by them and - horror! - RU fans can scoff at our game because of them.
Yes, I know they're hard to police but I'd like to make it easier for the refs to call them.
So, how about awarding a penalty for a forward pass? Isn't that still the case for an 'intentional' forward pass? I'm sure coaches would adapt and the game would become more skillful, rather than 'pass and crash'?
