The solution seems straightforward - line all the planes up behind each other on the runway (like the old WW2 aircraft carrier) and then let them fly at 500 feet or so in a big long line till they clear the ash. The CO2 from the pollution will clear the ash in no time as they claim it can burn off ozone at a great rate!
