last season paul cullen looked at our playbook and spotted something. 2 drives then pass to 1st receiver, miss a man pass to 2nd receiver then either pryce or welens come round the back on an arch. once cullen pointed this out on boots n all teams stopped pryce and wellens playing, yet we carried on with the same play week in week out, no variations, nothing!! then i turn up at our dump of a ground tonight and guess what??? the same play OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN!!! shocking, long knew what we were gonna do before we did!!! oh, and the fans tonight were shocking in the popular side. outsang all night, hats off to the hull fans, they were amazing!! i wish i could start some singing off at saints but seeing as i stand in the disabled bay with my grandad, i dont think its gonna take off from there!!!

The thing with Potter is that if his tactics of choice were one up manship and a very structured and simple gameplan, why the players look so sloppy and disorganised.

Under Millward we were given the creative license to play off the cuff, he didn't complain when we threw the ball out in our own 20 and conceded a soft try. It led to us being successful and playing some brilliant rugby, but also to us at times looking sloppy. Potter manages to make us look sloppy whilst trying to make us play such basic tactics. Catlans under Potter looked well drilled, very few errors, lots of drive and determination.

At Saints there is nothing, no passion, no team spirit and even playing out those basic sets as described we somehow manage to look like an amateur side doing it. Our last tackle options tonight were absolutely farcical for a professional side, let alone one which has made the Grand Final three years on the run. Those players CANNOT be that bad.

They aren't. They're just demotivated and being asked to play the kind of rugby that doesn't come naturally to them, IMO.

I do wish Potter would wake up and realise that we are not Catalans.

Since the middle of last season it seems a case of seen one Saints game you have seen them all.

I have never been as bored with watching them in 40 years. In the late 70's/early 80's we didn't have much idea but each player gave his all and you could see it.
