| Good thread. It shows how fickle RL fans are. It's just annoying that the flat performances had to come against the Dulls and the Goons instead of at Catalans or Hull KR like they usually are. Next week is far more important.

| Well, we'd already lost to Hull KR with a flat performance earlier on in the season. There were about five such performances, up to and including the first ten minutes of the home game against Leeds when we just clicked and took off. However, those flat performances, though a little concerning given the unknown of a new coach, were nothing compared to the last two performances, which have been in a league of their own for rubbishness and lack of enthusiasm.

| Just Got Back.
Certainly not as painful as the last visit to Murrayfield.
We know the club prioritises the CUP because of the financial reward it brings.
Both grahams and cunninghams comments in the days leading up to the game may have pointed at the performance that was to come.
BUT for the fans we always want to beat Wigan.
For me only roby could really say he put a good game in. The rest lacked effort.
Wigan stuck to their gameplan, 5 drives and kick to the wings and didnt have to play that well to beat us, saints didnt seem to have a gameplan.
Our lack of field position in the first half was uncharacteristic and we struggled to get over halfway to give our kicks any chance of pinning them back.
The litmus test is the catalan game. If we are that bad again then we have problems, but I fully expect us to put on a show and ALL will be forgiven by most.
Its dissapointing that after our last experience at Murrayfield, The bradford performance and the fact thats it a wigan game, we couldnt have given this game a higher priority as well.

| To be honest I've forgotten the game already of not the result it was that bad. It was almost as bad as the last time up there against the pies but at least this time they won nothing but 2 points that they needed alot more than we do. Wigan were just the better team on the day and it happens sometimes. (I've gotta say sitting in the east stand was possibly the worst possible place for a Saints fan)
On the plus side the banter before the match was pretty funny in the Murrayfield arms and the beer was pretty good afterwards so not all a dead loss.

| This is just what the RFL were wanting, an even competition. Both Leeds and St helens seem to think if you don't win every game you can't a sucessful side. The competition is getting closer so to say things like our players aren't trying etc is absolute nonsense. Get over it!
