Quote ="Offside Monkey"How could abusing a member of the media at a press conference ever be considered "in private"?'"
it was so "public" that not one member of the media decided it was worth mentioning till he got sacked. Had Saints not raised the issue, it would have gone completely un-noticed.
Leon Pryce was featured on the front page of the Daily Mirror last week, and in most other newspapers that I saw. Anything he does can never be classed as "off duty" or "private" when he ends up all over the media, bringing disgrace to the club.
Another recent sacking by the club was the young lad who failed a drugs test, and couldnt play for 2 years. If Pryce is "unavailable" for selection for any period and they dont take similar action, again it is a massive case of double standards.
All is irrelevant though, the club will issue some sort of strong sounding statement and then do nothing about i.t
