Great. I can only applaud the RFL for that consideration. There is a couple of years to go yet and Toulouse can grow in that time, and maybe will be ready by then.

I am pleased they don't have to meet ridiculous criteria like winning something before they can be considered. They are a newish club after all.

The sooner we can get another club club from France in the league, along with great contributors to the game like Widnes and a Cumbrian side the better it will be. Far better than the smally petty minded lack ambition clubs like Salford and Wakefield, who offer very little in crowds to support super league.

Yep its just common sense. The RFL were daft not to exempt them for that silly rule in the first place.

800 at Toulouses game at the weekend. A welcome addition to SL. So with the exemption to the rules is there any point in the Championship at all. Lets get rid, and you can use National Conference clubs as feeder clubs to help develop our international stars.

So if we have more and more french/aussie imports coming into superleague. Would this be the death knell of the english international side.

Personally, I think the RFL are completely inept at handling the game, they appear to be hindering it more than anything else.

However, I would like to see us expand the game in the south of France, Catalan are getting decent crowds now and have been forced to expand the stadium, and I'd certainly swap another team from southern France for the joke that is Harlequins RL. I would also enjoy an extra weekend away in the sun (no more February fixtures over there please).
