Referee: Jamie Bloem
Born in Melbourne (to a South African father and Scottish mother) but moved to South Africa at a young age. Started his rugby league career with Castleford, a club best known as Oxford's dual reg partners. Then moved to Oldham and Doncaster - see picture. Also played for Widnes, Halifax, Huddersfield and in France. Mostly at full-back but also wing and second row. Captained South Africa at the 2000 World Cup. Also played twice for Scotland. Now a referee and working at being the next Capability Brown. Also finds time to be player-coach at some inferior sport.
Here he is at a Doncaster civic reception:
Previous games:
2011 - Oxford Cavaliers v Oxford University
29/3/2013 - University of Gloucestershire All Golds 30 Oxford 40 (Oxford's first ever match - penalties 10-9 in favour)
13/4/2013 - Oxford 20 South Wales 22 (penalties 12-8 against)
27/7/2014 - Gateshead 48 Oxford 20 (penalties 6-2 in favour)
14/6/2015 - Oldham 64 Oxford 0 (penalties 10-4 against)
25/3/2016 - Oxford 20 South Wales 38 (penalties 8-6 against)
Touch Judge: Mick Wilson (probably Dewsbury and Batley)
New name for Oxford games, but he's a long-serving touch judge from Batley. A Mick Wilson also played for Batley 30 years ago, so that might be him.
Touch Judge: Bryan Scott (Cumbria)
Last seen at the victory over Hemel earlier this season.
Reserve Referee: Danny McNeice (Dewbury and Batley)
Last seen at the away game with Gateshead Thunder in 2014 ... with referee Jamie Bloem.
Match Commissioner: Barry Lilley
Was on duty at the home game against Rochdale at Hemel last season.
Match Assessor: Ken Tinsdale (Wakefield)
Looks like match assessors are going to be a new regular. We have the same one as last week, but there really is more than one match assessor in the country. A former referee, also involved with the Pennine League.
