Brad Day scored three tries as York City Knights maintained their three-point lead at the top of Championship 1 with a convincing 58-16 victory over Oxford. Ben Dent's early try was cancelled out by Samson Ederton, but once Day eased over the line the visitors went on to dominate. Jack Lee evaded several defenders before diving over and Day then added his second try of the day. Dent went over for the score of the afternoon - breaking clear and sprinting 90 metres - and after Ben Reynolds converted it was 28-4 at the interval. Kris Brining and James Saltonstall added further tries for York before Alex Thompson grabbed one for the home side. James Ford and Ed Smith took the visitors' score past 50 with conversions, and after another Oxford try from Thompson, Day completed his hat-trick.
