Seem to recall owning a couple of half decent albums they put out c. 1996-98. Might dig them out and have a listen.

The Dutch Uncles album is pretty good, but doesn't make me go wow!! like their first.

I'm looking forward to John Grant's follow up to Queen Of Denmark, out in March entitled Pale Green Ghosts.

What did you make of the last OMD album?

Not a lot as I recall, but I've not heard it in ages. Early signs from the new one are positive though

Hell yes. The single Pale Green Ghosts is just stunning

I have heard that and I do like it. I am looking forward to what the Gus Gus partnership will produce as opposed to the Midlake influenced one from the last album. Roll on the 11th March, have it on pre-order at my favourite record shop.

The new single sounds like a ripoff of Kraftwerk. They are one of my favourite bands, but they have often got a bit too close for comfort to being copyists of the German band.

Probably why I like it so much.

Clearly there are similarities, but I think OMD retain enough of their own charms to make it work.

Hell yeah . Their first two albums were very good ,especially [iOnly Forever[/i which is still one of my favourite albums of all time . They then had a bit of dispute with there record label for a while but released [iPlanet Helpless[/i in 2002 , [iDon't Forget To Remember[/i in 2007 & [iSolid State Recital[/i a couple of years ago which is another great album . Check out [iWhen Your Eyes Close [/i off the last album , It's a cracking song.
Saw them in York last year at Duchess ,Still a great live band.

Public Service Broadcasting album due in May. Really like their schtick

Two albums I have preordered at the moment are Black Angels and BRMC

One disapointment already was SBTRKT live. The sound is pretty awful and would be just passable if it was a bootleg.

Looking forward to BRMC, also gonna give the new Suede album a whirl.

City and Colour's new release. The teaser Dallas put online was just lovely. Cannot wait for this one. Interesting to see Dallas has had a change of personnel too.
