Looks like he still has the offer from us on a pay per play deal. Would people welcome him back to the club? Obviously if we did re-sign him he would have to be playing to a pretty high standard to makes his way into the team. I couldn't see him being played for sentimental value. Providing he does return to full fitness he could be a good option to rotate in. I'm saying this in preparation of the 'time to move on comments' as I don't believe we would play him unless he can outperform someone in the current squad. So it would surely only be a good thing to have another option in the pack or Centres.

Id put sentimentality aside and just thank Keith for his fantastic service to the club and move on.

I imagine he got one of the extra squad rings for last seasons Grand Final win but seen as he didn't play for half of the season including the final then that particular one could be selling somewhere someday.

Given our options in the threequarters I don't think we should be offering Keith a contract but he's still far better than most of the centres in Super League. I bet even on one leg he could still put Shenton in his pocket.
He'll get a gig somewhere. Cas maybe? Keith could have had the leg amputated and still be better than Kirk Dixon. |
