not forgetting sinfields move to the backs as well. When those players are back, Sinfield at LF and the emergence of Clarkson it may be a struggle to get into the 17 although there are discussions on Eastwood which may help.

| Kirke has also played a lot of front row. Not very well but he's played there.
He has compromising photos of Bluey with Kath Hetherington is you ask me.

| Quote ="Old Feller"Interestingly (?) the club collects its own stats I believe, yet despite what the OPTA version seems to tell us, the coaches continue to pick Kirke.
I wonder why?
Do they see something we don't (well some of us on here) or is it merely that with our injuries they have no option?'"
I would hope and expect that the club will analyise the data collected (which presumably will also be considerably more extensive) a tad more objectively than is often the case on here by the myriad of wannabee coaches.
I'd also like to believe that their analyisis of the expensively procured data will avoid phrases such as: 'Ryan/Ian (delete as applicable), 6 drives, I mean come on 6, in 80 minutes, 6.' Although judging by the collective coaching staff's performances in front of the cameras it wouldn't rock my world if they did.

"Come on Ian, 6 fsking drives, 6 weak softcock fsking drives. It's every other fsking week with you, you lazy soft b'stard. Are you scared or something? You big girls fsking blouse. Now get on that massage table, drop your shorts whilst the rest of the squad whip your big, soft lazy arris with wet towels while we all sing keep right on till the end of the road".
It would work as well.

Fit as in selected for the 17 on gameday?
The opening weekend away at the Crusaders in Wrexham. Jones-Buchanan and Ablett startrd in the second row with Eastwood and Lauitiiti on the bench, along with Kirke as no Peacock or Burgess.
The folowing game Castleford at Headingley, same formation again for the second row although with Peacock available (in for Leuluai) Burgess replaced Kirke on the bench.
Since then at least one of the quartet named have been missing every round.

| Kirke has been in and around the 1st 17 now for 5 years. people excuse and dismiss his performances as if he's merely a squad/reserve player. The fact is, for whatever reason, he's not. he's a regular and he simply isn't good enough. He's no longer a project and if he is, then I'd rather take a longer look at someone like Clarkson once everyone is fit because we've seen all kirke has to offer.

You don't think Brian McClennan is from that same school? Perhaps not quite but one in the same village.
It's difficult for coaches these days with cameras all over the place on matchdays and coach McClennan always appears on his best behaviour but I'd like to think away from the cameras he isn't shy in laying it on the line when it's needed.
Some players (and we've had our fair share at Leeds) just lack that bit of heart.
Alan Smith (who had it in buckets) always talked about the natural reflex to close your eyes as the impact of the tackle approached and he judged players by how near the impact it happened. Some players he claimed (Syd Hynes for one) never even blinked.

You've hit the nail on the head for me there with kirke TVOC.
Kirke's a real blinker and I just hate, really hate, to see it in a player, especially a forward.
I got sin binned twice last night, laid out my own son and gave someone a black eye....and that was just in a freindly game of tag rugby. It's the ONLY way a forward should play (even though I am half back in a forward's body).

No, but it was an RFL qualified referee with the usual standard you'd come to expect...............bad! I was so heavily penalised Gotcha would've have started a thread demanding I be booted out. Mind, I was lucky not to see a red for getting some wonderful parental retribution on a cocky teenage son.....

| If the 'booting out' is a literal interpretation, McField could sell raffle tickets for the honour with all proceeds going to a worthy (charitable) cause, NSPCC perhaps.
Any money leftover could then be used to wipe out the national debt.

How much did the raffle tickets cost to manufacture?

Careful. If there is any money left over McField will not be a happy bunny. It should all go to charity.

Probably neither unfortunately as both acts would likely as not require me to leave the comfort of my padded cell.

Sounds like someone is looking for a cheap date. Such services usually cost a premium in my experience.

| G1 may be many things but Greg Inglis he is not.
__________
It was interesting to hear Shaun McRae's observation early on that he didn't expect to see Wigan not complete 3 times in their opening sets.
That didn't appear to alter Opta's view that Wigan completed something like 14 of their 15 sets and that despite Opta also recording 5 Wigan handling errors.
No inconsistency there then?
