What angered me was the comments aimed at Mcguire yet he forgets (and doesnt raise) Tomkins act of thugery

There are actually some good and well reasoned responses on the Sky site, not at all the frothing-mouth stuff that I suspected would appear, good and well reasoned responses deserve an answer from the original poster.

You said Clarke implied he deserved the injury. He didnt.
Clarkes wrong is that no other player will give it a 2nd thought in the heat of the moment as to whether it pays to cheat or not. They'll just do whatever instinctively.
There's more to the incident than meets the eye anyway. |

I think he sees it as "Karma" or justice that Mags got injured to be honest mate and given his previous rants about Leeds especially after the 08 GF it points to that opinion.
I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on this one D but i think Clarke means full well what i implied. |

He's just a glorified stat man theses days..""50% of teams use 75% of their squad for 33% of the season......FFS like a bleeding maths equation at times.No matter how much he tries he always has a bias to Wigan(understandably so i suppose given it was his only club over here) but Carney is at least un biased and personally i would like to see Jon Wells given a go.I'm getting a bit bored of Super League coaches being on Sky commentating.After watching the 78 final two weeks ago my vote is for David Watkins to be brought back

I hope Mrs Clarke has stocked up on washing powder because Phil's underpants will be a right mess when he gets home tonight. deary me his comments about Wigan were sickly, sycophantic and off putting. I turned over to Leeds United for one moment, then when I realised how over hyped and e that sport is I turned back and muted the sound. Then when it stopped being a contest I turned over and watched the end of Taking of Pelham 123.
If Wigan actually do win something meaningful this year Clarke better have an IV on hand at Old Trafford because the massive, instant loss of body fluids he will suffer could be fatal.
