For such a disjointed underperforming team, then yes it should be used to benefit the first team. Certainly Hetheringtons interview earlier in week suggested such a thing.

On another note, anyone know what has happened to Connor Sunderland? there was a young player with the world at his feet before McDermott and his team got hold of him. Seems to have dropped off face of earth since. Such a wasted talent if so.

Add in the fact that Sunday is Morley's debut as a coach & the game is far from a foregone conclusion.
I'm yet to be convinced at the prospect of Morley as a coach.
Ideal as a gung ho leader but I never saw him as potential head (or any other) coach material.
I hope I'm totally incorrect.

My feelings on McD are similar to yours but theres no point going on and on about him like you do. Hes trusted by GH, hes under no pressure and hes not going anywhere.

I actually said McDermott and his team, and you did actually quote that.

Absolutely Gotcha but McDermott has no part in Sunderlands career at the moment. Not directly anyway. No need to mention the goofball.

That isn't true though Marty. McDermott has dictated the development coaching of the players through the academy through Plume and others. They have been coaching him for two years before this year. Before that he was an academy international and a sought after player. I just can't see the progression, but I really hope he comes good again, as I have seen this lads talent.

He was in the England squad last season and again, IS in the team this Sunday

Not saying it is. Some just don't progress naturally, and some progress regardless because of talent.

However, just saying he is and has been involved in that players development.

Im sure Sunderlabd must have been carrying injuries last year he hardly played for the u19's.

Have you ever considered that how highly you rate a player may be wrong and they aren't as good as you think? Or as bad....we all remember how much you dismissed Keinhorst as a player.

No not considered it. But then again it wasn't me rating him so highly when the club pulled out all the stops to get him with competition elsewhere. You might be better asking the club whether they got it wrong, and advise them accordingly in future.

Keinzhorst is a bang average player who would not get near a start in any top quality side.

He isn't tad. But good luck to the lad. He has taken advantage of the situation, and give it his best, can't fault him in that.

Keinhorst is bang average.

To his credit, he stood up last season and was made to look good in comparison to the rest of them whose performances smelt like Knostrop.
