obviously this was the topic of conversation after work tonight,
when one of the lads told us of an ex team mate, that when previously informed he would have to provide a sample, the player smuggled a sample of his wife's urine into the test room, emptied it into his sample tube and returned it.
although he got a clear result the RFL were pleased to inform him he was 3 months pregnant.

I guess if you need a release from the pressure or something, or you do stupid things when drunk.

In terms of performance enhancing there are numerous things an athlete can use without getting caught, short esters of testosterone, IGF-1 etc etc.

At least then you improve your performance and you don't get caught.

The big rumour at the moment is that Hock knew he would fail a test, told a certain employee before the Salford game, but the risk was taken and he got selected by the testers after the game.

That employee was sacked last night.

If true that would suggest some complicity on the part of the employer wouldn't it ?

An attitude of "we know you do it because you've told us so we'll try not to select you when you might fail a test" ???

If true then it would it be so surprising if other clubs had a simliar attitude too ?
