Smith, Donald and Hall all played in the same team last year. I know what you're getting at but Leeds would be crazy to say they don't need Lee Smith, especially given the current situation.

If everyone gets fit we already have plenty of cover at 2nd row.Would be surprised if Senior was moved to accomodate Smith. Even though he is not in the best of form i would prefer him at centre to Smith.

Yeah they would be crazy - I along with 99% of the fans would love to have Smithy back but it would be interesting to see how its going to work when we have a fully fit squad.

But just where would we fit Smith in? What a superb dilemma to have.

I can't imagine him going anywhere else other than Leeds (possibly Warrington with the T. Smith connection) but both of those have ample cover in the backs

With Webb, Donald, Senior, Delany, Hall, Bush, who was generally superb against Wigan and Watkins, Jones-Bishop back in 2011 he certainly shouldn't expect to have an easy route back (when Donald returns)

That's my suspicion too. If it is Smith's return (and it's hard to believe it's anything else) it'll be like the return of the prodigal son. I'm delighted he's returning to league from the dark side.

Given the injuries to our backs wouldn't be suprised if he features this weekend, Thursday may come a bit too soon though.

As for where he would play in a full strength team - maybe thats jumping the gun a bit. Are we ever gonna be able to pick from strength this year?!? At the moment his experience will be more than useful in our depleted back line, if he plays well enough then he'll be playing week in week out and its up to others to get back in.

People forget his versatility too, great at full-back (his best position IMO) and more than capable across the three-quarters.

Just hope this is what the press conference is for.... not something akin the great Rhino's 2000 announcement

There has been speculation over Blueys future also in the RL press so it might not be just about Smithy.
