Maybe not, but it's good to see you've imported your anti-Leeds agenda from the VT.
What McGuire did is what any other professional player in that same position would have done. He helped his team to a vital play-off win by committing a professional foul and preventing the opposition from scoring a match-winning try.
I suppose you're going to try and tell me that in the old days the likes of Vince Karalius or Eric Ashton would have simply waved Carmont through and allowed him to score, just to preserve the spirit of the game? |

Good on him.
There's other factors at hand:
Wigan were leading 14-0
Brain dead Tomkins gifting 2 points
Pat Richards should have done better with OTHER kicks
daft Leeds - shouldnt have gifted the ball back with early kick - should have rolled out the set. |

As for McGuire, I don't recall that he's made any public comment regarding Sunday evening's game, an admission or otherwise. I suspect that he's had more pressing concerns over the past two days. |

What it deserved is a penalty, which was given.
What it did not deserve it a serious career threatening injury, which a lot of morons have called for.

Some may criticise McGuire for what he did. I for one would rather have a sucessful team that do what is necessarily to succeed, and be branded a cheat by jealous froth-mouthed ts from other teams, than return to the days of watching other teams pick up the pots. McGuire has sacrificed his season for the good of the team shows what a legend of Blue & Amber he truly is
