Shame, as we need a goal kicker with Watkins out, and it may be the chance ge needs, all be it maybe a last chance to show he van be a super league player.

I watched him the other week for Fev, and he was a class above the other pivots on the pitch, not sure where the struggles are. That said I was speaking to Davide Longo after the game and he was suggesting Lilley needed to spend a couple of years in Championship to play regularly and cement his reputation. But he did add that he was surprised Leeds haven’t backed him.

Can we recall Keinhorst immediately ? If so it's a no brainer for me with Watkins missing as well as a worn out back row.

Lilley may be slow but he has a kicking game and most of all looks like he has some idea of what he's trying to do in a set of 6, even if he/the team as a whole aren't good enough to execute it. I'd move Moon back to centre if Watkins is out, and bring Lilley in. The treatment of Lilley seems a bit odd given that he hasn't been seen near the first team since signing a contract.

Also, re Walters I'm far from his biggest fan but the pack looks so pudding-esque that I'd rather pick a bunch of headless chickens who are at least giving their all and showing some energy about their work than continue with yet another reshuffle of oldsters.

Lilley should play in the halves and what about JJR?
Surely he should be in against Leigh this friday?

There is Ormondroyd too. All this about players missing, it is the coaching team that have took the decision to play injured players and ignore others. We have not been in as bad a situation as some other teams.

I'd love to see Harry Newman get a chance if Watkins is out.

Lilley has been pretty ordinary (in limited starts) for Fev apart from his first game against Fax a long time ago, not looking in the same class as Tom Holmes for example, but it's very hard for a half back to shine in an unfamiliar team. Wouldn't surprise me to see Holmes back in SL next season and Lilley at Fev.

I watched the Batley game. He was very good in that game. Holmes was playing fullback, and yes he also looked very good, and I think fullback suits him better which seems to be the current in thing for half backs not made it in that role.

Lilley didn't play the CC game because Leeds did not want him cuptied, and that was the only reason. Not sure why he didn't play Saturday night though, so your explanation might be better there.

Lilley did play pretty well (barring one tackle miss which cost us a try) against Batley behind a dominant pack, but struggled against Toulouse the following week, and although Holmes is versatile and has played very well at full back, we miss the way he orchestrates our right side when he's not playing in the halves. For me Holmes is far closer to being a SL half than Lilley at this stage of their careers, though that might be partly down to lack of consistent game time for Lilley.

Moon will be 6, Ormanroyd, cant see him being anywhere near the side, he is what he is and wont be anything more than championship player.

Ferres?? How's that based on form exactly? Also Keinhorst has been recalled 100% he plays.

Because as bad as it is Mark, he is still a better bet than some others, including what will be a completely ineffective Keinhorst. It doesn't change my opinion to get rid, just a question of balance that's all.

The loss against Castleford means we will not get a top 4 spot by round 23. The previous loss means we are not in contention for the league leaders shield.

Answering your closing question first, No

But they are far from being impossible. We are only 3 points adrift of 4th place with plenty of games to go. I don't think we definately will finish top 4 but I wouldn't rule it out at this stage of the season.

As Tomcat says we are 3 points adrift of 4th with 32 points to play for. Im not saying we will or wont make the top 4 after 30 Rounds of Super League but to keep saying every game is a must win after we lose a supposedly must win game proves my point.

If you keep losing like Leeds have - every game has a heightened sense of importance - we may be 3 points adrift but we have to play must of those above us again before the split - that reduces the opportunity to progress upwards - 6-8 is where Leeds will finish now.

With a full-ish squad to pick from we would still be a decent chance but not with the current injuries. I would say 6-8 is a fair prediction.lets hope some serious planning is going into next season, lots of players out of contract and coming to the end now and a perfect chance to really freshen things up.

We are only a decent chance if those above have players missing also, like they have had for most of the season. We are not the only team with injuries.

If we had a full team to pick from its always been my belief we can beat anyone in SL regardless of who is fit for them, still is. With the players we have missing though it is not going to happen, nothing else matters.
