I don't need reminding of the Leeds version of events on Friday. Your lot has been over our board like a rash ever since, whinging and whining as per usual.

I don't think most Leeds fans on here have been defending his actions. I do think they have been, like me, defending the over-reaction from Saints fans!

You and other Saints fans have just decided, on the basis of no real hard evidence that JJB tackle was totally premeditated, deliberate, with malice and reckless and therefore he should get a long ban.. correct?

Interesting that the real facts, with which the panel clearly agree given there comments after the hearing, is that JJB was looking to turtle the player and got himself into a very poor technique within the tackle and he admitted putting undue pressure on the arm... it was a poor tackle and he pleaded guilty. Now, given JJB passed excellent disciplinary record and his admission of guilt the facts are that you have got to give him the benefit of that excellent record and acknowledge some belief in him saying that it was not intentional. Now, if we had say Terry Newton in front of the panel with similar story I am sure, like me and probably the panel, you might be justified in saying "well you know what Terry, we don't believe you" but JJB?

You and many other (but by know means all) Saints fans are the ones who are lacking persepctive on the chicken wing incident!

I very much doubt Leeds Rhinos are going to think he did it maliciously!! Most Saints fans think he did it deliberately, yes. One or two don't. It definitely did not look anything like accidental. He hung around too long for that.

Glad he lost his appeal. That's two RFL boards who thought it was an illegal tackle and deserved a one match ban. I hope he's convinced of his own guilt now.

Oh dear, a little more rational in your reply but still not quite there yet!

It was deliberate, the evidence was there on the screen for all to see you say... but I disagree, and most important of all, so did the disciplinary panel, and as much as we can disagree between ourselves the only people's view that does count is theirs I am afraid!

The facts are these, it was a poor tackle and indeed was what is being called a Chicken wing, and he has got a one match suspension for it which I feel is fair. It is also a fact the JJB does not have a disciplinary record because he has NEVER appeared before the panel and has only been sin-binned once in his entire career. He tells the panel that he was trying to turtle the player over and did not intend to chicken wing him but, in effecting a poor tackle he admitted he did put undue pressure on the arm. The panel, given what they saw on TV, which is what we saw, and given his record say, ok, we don't think you set out to do it, your record (or lack of) inclines us to believe what you have told us, but we still need to punish you because you did admit you put his arm under pressure and we want to make sure we don't let you or others get away with this in the future, so we are banning you for one match. Does that sound biased and unfair to you? Really? Come on?

Ok, I agree, some Leeds posters are equally as deluded as you are, but in the opposite way, but to be fair to Rooster where does he blame Graham in that post? That are loads of better one you could have used are there not? You are putting words into his mouth!

Not a poor tackle. That is indeed a fact, but he wouldn't have gotten a ban for a poor tackle. It was an illegal tackle as he placed too much pressure on the shoulder joint which, if you look elsewhere in my copious postings on this issue, is the point I thought was relevant.
