He is, he held a coaching session with my nephews team in Hindley (Wigan) the other day and said he’s staying in the area at the minute.

Thanks his legal team. Says he suggested major changes as things weren't working (doesnt say what). Said he told it like it was as he always does. Not much else

Would anyone take Ian Watson as head coach? He's done well on a limited budget at Salford, and they play an attractive style... Young, British, but maybe not such a big character that he would clash with the DoR?

I would, ive always had a decent amount of respect for him, comes across as an honest and good coach

I said Watson on here before furner was appointed. to almost 100% derision. got to be able to manage without interference which is unlikely though

DOR shouldn't have a role in first team affairs imho.

I doubt there's a first team coach in SL that has total free reign over the playing squad

So now Holbrook is off to GCT we are competing with Stains for a head coach. On that basis it'll be another one we miss out on

the only coach from a club with a similar culture is Bellamy and he can bring Smith with him which solves another problem. I know this would be difficult and expensive but we are the best super league club so we deserve the best.

Leeds are throwing huge amounts of cash around at the moment compared to the past two decades - the days of the tight purse strings seem to have disappeared for now. Paying whatever is required for a coach won't be a problem. Certainly if Agar keeps the job it won't be because of money.

We can’t compete with NRL clubs for first grade starter players, on the whole, or proven first grade coaches. The drift is the opposite direction. Another problem with a Bellamy style signing would be their expectations working with a DoR like Sinfield.

Our best chance would be an up and coming Aussie looking to prove their worth to get an NRL gig IMO. But that’s risky. There are some english coaches I like but none that are really proven.
