| Great performance ,courage determination and kept cool when it looked like Catalan were getting on top.
All I want from referees is to be consistent ,so next time I see a similar tackle to bailys one would expect a red card.
Unfortunately it won't happen as it will be put on report or a penalty awarded. Just for the record I did not think it was a red card. Catalan had at least three head high shots on us, totally unpunished .

yeah, that was the only saving grace
the amount of swear words leaving my mouth at him as soon as he did it would have made a sailor blush

| Appalling display by Catalans who clearly underestimated Leeds due to their poor preparation.
Today has been a poor advert for the credibility of SL.

| I was sat with an ex pro who hates Bailey and even he said it wasn't a sending off. I have seen worse not given the red. The initial impact looked shoulder into the head.

Come on Sal, there was no difference with the 2nd one and what the Catalans player did with Burrow in first half.
The ref said he made contact with the head and sent him off. The ref was wrong on making contact with head.
The first Bailey one was worse, but mainly due to the Catalans player falling, like Harrigan said.

| I hope these exchange of views does not take the thread away from what was a superb performance,to win a match like with the penalty count against us and a man off was remarkable.

| Totally needless and a bit of a cheap shot on a player unable to defend himself (the one he was dismissed for). You're always going to run that risk with that type of challenge.
That said, I hope the disciplinary looks at the incident where Mounis slammed Sinfield's head into the ground - potentially very dangerous and I felt there was intent there.
Not trying to take away from anyone's enjoyment; a scruffy, ill-disciplined performance but our spirit was utterly magnificent I thought. Happily settle for that level of effort.

| Sending off was marginal, and certainly no worse than the one in the first half that he gave away a penalty for.
Certainly no worse than the Taia swinging arm on Achurch which copped him straight on the jaw and didn't even merit a penalty.

| outstanding result tonight but to back up brian mac's comments i do think that we are not getting the rub of the green with the refs ,i know we were no angels tonight but we missed out on quite a few penalty appeals none more so than the tackle on achurch but if bailey deserved a red my mind goes back to the bradford game and the spear tackle on jjb ? all we ask is for a level playing field !

| That's two myths laid to rest this evening:
1. Leeds are aiming to finish 5th again this year
2. McDermott's limited rotation policy is leading to player burnout
Next?

Think McDermott's complaint wasn't so much about us not getting the rub of the green as Catalans getting too much of it.
And with the amount of diving and faking they do at their own play-the-balls, coupled with a partisan crowd and weak refs, that doesn't surprise me.

According to Carney, Eddie and Stevo refs aren't influenced by vociferous crowds, and even if they are it's alright because they're equally swayed by all of them.
If Catalans do habitually get more penalties at home than other teams, then it's fair comment from McDermott.

| BM's comments seemed rather strange, although, as a biased Rhino, I can find myself agreeing.
I just wonder if those comments were a tongue in cheek response to the outburst by the departing Catalans' coach, Trent Robinson, following their exit from last year's play offs at our hands. He seemed to think the exact opposite of what BM said tonight.
I do suspect that, as in the Bradford game, refs may sub consciously favour the underdogs at certain times, although I have no complaints about that result - Bradford were at least our equals on Thursday.

| I'm surprised nobodies mentioned the Pryce try. I still can't understand how it was given.
On the rest of the game I thought it was an excellent team performance the defence again was superb, I have to say. I thought Ward and Moon were outstanding. The attack though is still pretty woeful, I think it's almost 2 months since we scored more than 3 tries in a game.

| Excellent gutsy performance from Leeds especially when down to 12 men and with a one sided ref. Also the side looked well prepared by Big Mac and the coaching team. Good call to have an extra night at home. I thought JJB put in another big effort and scored another important try. Ward went well and Moon's classy form continues.
Delaney and Kirke hamstrings & Bailey suspension could provide a test for the reserves.

Likewise I am mystified at the awarding of the pryce try. Even with the benefit of doubt ,I could not see any try in that pile of players.

There was also Pelissier's push on Moon that would have got a penalty even in the NFL.

JJB worked his nuts off, but he still looks like conceding a penalty in every tackle he's involved in.
Well, with Kylie coming back, and Moore well rested, and the possible return of Hardaker allowing Ablet to move back into the forwards we should be able to manage.

| Unless Pryce was awarded a penalty try - I thought the ball was stripped - the decision baffled me. None of the angles suggested that he was still in contact with the ball, let alone in control of it.

| Don't know about anyone else, but the pryce try was one of the worst VR calls I've ever seen. How was that a try? pryce clearly didn't have the ball, the fullback shoves moon out of the way?
It was a shocker!
